OK, there it is, I said it.

I was drinking the kool aid and starting to get excited about the season and finally the Dolphins get a "big game" against the Patriots.

Then what happens is the same thing that has happened for the last freakin I don't know how many years, the Phins folded like a house of cards.

They're just the same old Dolphins to me, can't win when it counts. Same story different year. When was the last time they won a big game; I can't even remember. I am still so danged PO'd about that Patriots game I just don't even want to watch next Sunday.

I'm tired of this, can't they win just ONE big game this century????

Step off the ledge bro. I think a lot of us feel that way. I kicked my father out of my house for giving me **** during the game (after one of Moss' TD's!).

The pain doesn't go away but I will be watching again next week.

Sorry that the 1-15 team from last season has improved so much that they had a big game in week 12 and couldn't win it for you. Sometimes I don't know if posters are taking a direct flight back from fantasy land or if they're getting a connecting flight from lala land.

since when were the same old dolphins 6-5 and in the playoff hunt in November?

The fact that were back in a game that was considered a "big game" should make you feel pretty damned good coming off of the nightmare of last year.

Dude, the old dolphinsn went 1-15 last year! This is the beginning of a new team. In a couple of years, we'll be like that team we played 2 days ago.

Wow anyone who says this team is similar to past teams in any way, shape or form is absolutely delusional. This team is one of the least penalized teams in the league and near the top in league in turnovers. Reread the previous statement and tell me the last time you could say that about our team.

same old fins?

RIIIIGHT. We are 4-1 over the last 5 games. We have installed a formation that the NFL as a whole is copying. We have a solid QB and our draft picks are playing better. We have a great coach in his first year and a head of operations with a awesome track record. We play the Rams this week and the Pats play the Steelers. We could both be 7-4 and right back in it. We need work, that is a guarantee. But to say we are the same old Dolphins-Hardly. When you are 1-15 they are all big games. respect has to be earned and they have done that. 14 on the ESPN ( they hate us ) power rankings and as high as 12. I guess that we need to go 16-0 and then take 3 more games and everybody will be happy. We did it once, lets do it again.

Until the Fins prove to be a different team. I agree same old team. Maybe not the team last year. But definitely not the team while marino was in control.

They need to win a big game. Next year they "should" be the team we hope for. Kinda expected it to be this year.. Think about it, If this year was really a rebuilding year, they would be playing Henne and Wilford and London and getting everyone game time so they can improve.

how many rings did marino get us

I was thinking the same thing. As much as I loved #13, we lost plenty of "big games" with him...even though most of them were not his fault. You can lay those games squarely on the consistent lack of a running game and less-than-dominating defenses. Can you imagine how many rings Dan would have if he would have had a semblance of either?? Makes me want to absolutely throw up.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I'm seeing the same thing with Lebron and the Cavs' lack of a supporting cast...i.e. wasted years.

I am thinking he is not really talking about last year to this year. I think he is more so talking about the 10- 15 years. I understand his point, we have never really won the BIG one or the game that really counts since when?? Its been a long while. As far as this team to last year yea, night and day difference. We are on are way up to the top i do believe!!

Dude, I agree with you soooooooooooo much. I just had the same conversation almost word for word with someone today. You spoke truth my friend!! Damn, i hate it to because I think Marino was the best to play the game!!

I can understand where he is coming from, I dont think he is denying the fact that nobody expected the Fins to be playing a big game this late in the season as they did last week. The problem I think is the fact that for the past 20 years no matter how good the Fins have been they always seem to come up short in the games that matter the most.

For the Fins to be in a game against the Patriots that actually meant something is a huge accomplishment over last year, and in truth there was no reason to think that they coulld no have actually wone the game, but until they come through and win the big game there will always be that doubt in the back of fans minds.

It's just a result of being let down so many times in the past. Lets hope that corner is finally about to be turned.
