This guy is SOLID, I swear I think he could be a top back in this league if he was in the right situation. If our O-line ever truly gets it together we could lead the league in rushing with the stable of Quality RB's that we have.

Ya I think he is a good back up for like 3rd and 3 situations, the way he played in pre season and the run today makes me think where the hell was he last season? I know he was our rushing leader at the beginning of the year where was he at.

He actually ran pretty well at times last year, and showed some great goaline skills. He did have a slight durability issue, and he is not really an everydown back, but I've said all along that he is a guy who we can use around the endzone. I was honestly hoping we would see him more today, because Ronnie's running was just average- which is exactly what I expected. I have faith he will actually get better, but it is still going to take some time for him to read his blocks correctly (when they are there) the majority of the time.

top back? No way. Proud player and fun to watch succeed, yes very much. Hell of a team player to have.

Sammy Morris is a very good backup and an excellent role-player type. I think if we started him for an entire season, he could get in the low 1000 yardage range, but I dont ever think he could lead the league.

He's a good runner, a good reciever, a good blocker, a good coverage guy in special teams, and a fantastic short-yardage back.

Morris has his role on this team and he will be brought in on short yard plays. I remember earlier that Lienhan wants to use Morris liked he used Moe Williams in Minny.

Exactly, but he doesn't have the speed to be a top back in the league. For now he's a nice change to Ronnie.

brown can be our bennett, morris can be our m. williams, and ricky could be our onterrio smith (for obvious reasons  )

As much as Morris did for us last year's nightmare the guy has my respect as a hell of a football player, he'll do well for us this year i have no doubt

Morris actually average 4 yards per carry last season. He did well under horrible circumstances. He did well today. Linehan seemed to call him and Minor at the right occasions. Denver clearly keyed in on Brown and when Morris was given the ball as the FB, I knew he was going to get in.
