Strengths:
Versatile with experience at center, guard and tackle...Moves very well in space and can get to the second level...Has decent quickness, agility and balance...Very tough with outstanding strength...Superb pass blocker...Is nasty and plays with a killer instinct...Good technician...Smart with outstanding instincts and awareness.
Weaknesses:
Does not have the ideal size you look for and has short arms...Will need to adjust to a pro style offense...Might not be a good fit for every team...Is not a dominant run blocker and doesn't get a great push...Gets knocked back and is not stout at the point...He was never able to fully concentrate on mastering a single position.
Notes:
Nephew of former Warrior and San Diego Charger Alvis Satele and is related to current Warriors Hercules Satele and Melila Purcell...Best chance at the pro level might come in a zone blocking scheme...You have to think he could at least be a quality backup and maybe more in the right situation...Can also project to guard.

Best player available on Mel Kiper's board when we picked. Started all 53 games at Hawaii -- first three years at left guard before moving to center as a senior. Compact, strong, and athletic. Will be interesting to see whether he starts at left guard or if we plug him in at center and move Rex Hadnot back to right guard. In either case, he helps our offensive line immediately.
