So which receiver has the best game? Hartline eating them up? Maybe Wallace finally has a long bomb or a good game? Matthews continues the breakout (watch the coaches not even use him..) or maybe Clay?

Fields, when he receives Denney's snaps.

And we have a horrible pass and run defense! I'm sure Antonio Gates and insert random RB out of the backfield will have a field day.

I say Wallace.

No logical reason more probably an unrealistic hope.

yeah blah blah blah. ev'body's team has got some kinda defect... until they play Miami! then their bench goes "all world" an' whatnot

Road game after two straight tough losses is a motivated spot for the Chargers. They'll likely play with high intensity level and we need to match it. Going to be all on the Dolphins players to generate, since the crowd figures to be embarrassing meager and quiet, at least initially.

Still, it shouldn't matter whether the opponent is energized or not. NFL scoring is up in recent seasons yet we're one of the only teams that has taken it in the other direction. Thirty points in this league should happen occasionally. Maybe the Chargers will drag us into a shootout and that will get us out of the scoring funk.

Sorry for a thread without the impending doom. Hell our best receiver might only get 45 yards who knows

the way things have been going our weaknesses are being exposed more than the oppositions...

I wanted to do your poll but you didn't have Antonio Gates as an option.
There's just no reason to feel good or confident about any game on our schedule at this point.

the oline is your undoing...the lb play is 2nd on the list

not a damn thing we can do to change it in season either....we cooked

they too stubborn with the oline to try different personnel or the depth personnel are god awful...so we done guys...another 7 games a lot like the first 9...frustrating

I agree with hoops, I don't see a breakout coming here.

Even if we find a way to beat the Chargers, it'll just be false hope, IMO.

This team can't buy anything over 27 at this point. 25 games into the Philbin/Sherman/Tannehill era and we've scored over 27 points twice. Once was against Oakland when Reggie Bush had a career game (Tannehill's 2nd start . . . no turnovers 1 TD) and the other against the Jets when Matt Moore came in for his only spot in this era and led us to 30. It's worrisome that we can't manufacture more points.
