Emmanuel Sanders and Julius Thomas are both on field with their helmets for practice. First time they've had their helmets this week.

Emmanuel Sanders was cleared through the post-concussion protocol for physical activity yesterday afternoon.

Sanders was cleared for physical activity yesterday afternoon. Signs point toward him playing #Broncos

For Sanders likely limited participation in terms of the concussion protocol, was cleared for conditioning previously was evaluated Fri.

I still think Thomas plans and Sanders doesn't. Sanders just isn't far enough along in the concussion protocol where he has to be able to practice in game day conditions.

However, after doing some digging I wouldn't be surprised though if he does play as the trainers in Denver as well as the independent Dr's they consult have definitely cleared players in the past, ie Welker, very soon after initial concussions.

It's definitely going to be a fluid situation though because we haven't seen a tweet such as the once below which was released about Delanie Walker.

Delanie Walker passed concussion test and good to go for Sunday #Titans

Sanders to me looks to be in the same position as Cameron possibly.

Progress that he practiced...“@PatMcManamon: Jordan Cameron back to limited work at practice today but will not play Sunday #Browns”

Emmanuel Sanders is practicing Julius Thomas is out here with helmet but not participating

They both play. I have said that all week.

well if he's been cleared concussion protocol wise he's playing...jamar taylor gonna be on skates...not good for us...where's the prediction thread i think i'm ready to make mine

I wondered about putting Grimes one of one with Sanders and have Taylor and double team on Thomas. Not a great situation, but I wonder.

Five days after taking a vicious hit that knocked him out of the St. Louis loss, Emmanuel Sanders returned to practice Friday. Tight end Julius Thomas, recovering from a left ankle injury, wore a helmet for the first time this week, but appeared a limited participant during the open viewing period of Friday's workout.

Sanders was cleared for physical activity Thursday afternoon, leaving the final hurdle to play clearance from an independent doctor. All signs point toward Sanders participating Sunday when the Broncos host the Miami Dolphins.
Thomas said the ankle continues to improve, saying on Thursday, "If I can go, I will go." His situation figures to be a game-day decision. Thomas leads all NFL receivers with 12 touchdown receptions.

He has to be cleared by an independent doctor.

I don't know. Maybe they implement a scheme like New England did with Hilton and Wayne. The double covered Hilton on every play and had Revis cover Wayne. If Grimes is going to be put on single coverage against Megatron and Watkins I could see the Fins doing the same thing with Thomas.

One thing is for sure the front four on defense are going to have to dominate so that the D can have plenty of players in coverage.

Agreed on the last point for sure. I would make Manning push the ball outside the numbers and even deep. See if this line can hold up for the longer routes and push him to toss his ER ball in 20 MPH winds. If he does, tip your cap and move on to next week. If he doesn't, maybe you got a game of this.

He has to be cleared by an independent doctor.

Which we have seen with Welker, when he probably shouldn't have been cleared, has not been a problem. All it takes is one Dr. to put his fandom ahead of his ethics. Which when being pressured by Elway, Fox the Denver training staff and Sanders himself is probably not that hard.

Fox said that perhaps he could have said Julius Thomas was limited, but that his workload was closer to "out." Thomas wore a helmet today.

Emmanuel Sanders is probable; Julius Thomas is questionable.

John Fox said Julius did not practice. "We could have called him limited, but it was closer to DNP"

Sounds like Thomas won't play.

Emmanuel Sanders - WR - Broncos
According to the Denver Post, "all signs point toward" Emmanuel Sanders playing Sunday versus Miami.
He's officially listed as probable. Sanders returned to practice Friday and has cleared all of the necessary hurdles the NFL has designed for players coming off concussions. Cody Latimer and Andre Caldwell can be safely dropped if they were added as speculative stashes in fantasy leagues. The status of Julius Thomas (ankle) is expected to come down to a game-time decision. Sanders could get more targets if Thomas doesn't play.

Julius Thomas - TE - Broncos
Julius Thomas (ankle, questionable) is expected to be a game-day decision in Week 12.
Thomas "appeared a limited participant" in Friday's practice. "If I can go, I will go," Thomas said Thursday. Our guess at this stage of the week is that Orange Julius will be held out, but that's pure speculation. Ultimately, the Broncos are unlikely to decide on Thomas' availability until a few hours before kickoff. Broncos-Dolphins has 4:25PM ET start, creating a trick situation in fantasy football. Thomas owners would be smart to grab Jacob Tamme.

Sounds like Thomas won't play.

So Denver hid the severity of Thomas injury and pushed Sanders through the concussion protocol. Gotta love the NFL mind games.

Going to be interesting to see what happens to Sanders when Jones and Delmas come after him like heat seeking missiles. If I'm those two I take a 15 yarder to let him know it's going to be a long and painful day. If his concussion isn't really cleared up he could be facing a serious injury with a lengthy time out.

as a Charles Clay/Jacob Tamme owener, I am hopeful Thomas sits as it looks like Clay is out.
