Santard is over-hyped and over-rated. His QB rating is a measly 74!!! Come on that is so bad! Why is this kid getting so much love? I mean I would WAY rather have Henne and his 93 QB rating (That's counting the time he was thrown into the game because of Pennington's injury) 20-26 260 and 2 TD? That's DAN Mr. 13 numbers!! He is the 13 QB to take over since Dan. Call it divine intervention!

Henne QB rating was 153 v the Jest. That's insane!

HAHAHA Rex Ryan said that they (the jest) made Henne look like Dan!! LOL.

Come on it's one game. If they wanted to offer Sanchez for Henne, right now straight up I would be hard pressed to turn it down. Over the next 10 years I think Sanchez may put up better numbers than Henne. JMO, hope I'm wrong. Both have a chance to be pretty good and only time will tell, but there are still several things about Henne that scare the crap out of me.

Henne's rating last night was 130.

I am hoping Henne can be the next Dolphins franchise QB, but lets not get ahead of ourselves and call him the next Marino.

One of the reasons I think we are so hyped up about Henne is that we have been waiting for so long for a QB to lead the franchise. I hope and want him to be that leader but lets give him until the end of the season before we annoint him the savior. We still have to see how NFL teams prepare for him after having a couple weeks of game tape on this kid.

Sanchez & Edwards had some great hook-ups last night but that's all the Jets offense showed me. I'm just glad my days of crying for Henne to replace Noodle are over.

Chad Henne just blew my mind last night. He's not supposed to do what he did to the vaunted Jets defense! Sanchize was "supposed to" be the one to tear up the Dolphins defense! :chuckle:

God, I hope Henne is going to do this consistently. I hope that our OC Dan Henning's gut feeling about Henne is right on the money. Maybe he's just getting much better coaching at the NFL level and he just has more time to focus only on football.

Wouldn't it be awesome if he's the next great QB to come out of Michigan ... maybe as good or better than that dude who plays for the Patsies.

Keep on rocking Henne! You definitely have Dolphin Nation behind you so far!

He got love because he's a rookie QB who is playing relatively well as far as rookie QBs go. I think it's a bit overblown with all the "Sanchize" stuff but any time a rookie QB comes in and has success it raises eyebrows.

Agree wholeheartedly.

And for anyone who thinks Henne is the 2nd Coming™, I have two words for you: Scott Mitchell.

how many times did the announcers say the word "Sanchez" last night????? i couldnt take listening to it anymore!

of course sanchez is overhyped... the guy is the quarterback and a first round pick for a new york team/market.... the media is going to be on his jock every single time he wins a game like he's the reincarnation of namath/jesus

last night though, the whole world saw how much crap the media gives them, and it was henne who shook the nfl by surprise. i like it, a lot.

Dude, Sanchez is good and going to get better. Same for Henne, which is excellent for us. Sanchez made some top shelf throws out there- he strikes me as a guy who will be a dangerous, difficult opponent for years to come. It wasn't his best game and yeah, he's hyped- #5 overall pick from USC goes to New York City, pretty much the hype that you would expect.

I can't really say anything bad about Sanchez. He didn't play as well as Henne last night and yes he's been overhyped but it's not his fault.

I really think this might turn into one of the best rivalries in the NFL. With these two gun slingers at the helm it might be this way for years to come.

Sanchez looks good as a rookie, not great and not bad. From last night, his best attribute as a passer is his long ball – great touch and accuracy. His intermediate stuff and “on the line” throws are much less impressive. He doesn’t seem to have the laser velocity of the best QB’s, and last night Chad Henne showed the better arm.

I get the impression Sanchez is a bit of a hotdog and kind of in love with himself, but the kid is also only 22 so he’s got a lot of maturity potential. The other factor is he’s in the center of the universe for hype in NYC and that plays both ways. I get the feeling the kid is definitely NOT ready to carry the load if the Jets hit hard times and he’s exposed. In that way, as typical for the Buddy Ryan clan, he’s being set-up for failure as much as success – and only time will tell the story.
