Satele and Grove

Do you guys think the signing of Grove is more for the purpose of replacing Satele or for the ability to have to reliable centers in the lineup and thus for competition and rotation reasons. I believe this signing was more to bring out the best in both and allow each to be fresh the entire game instead of one of them playing every down. What do you guys think?

With the money they paid him, I'm thinking they want him to be an every down guy. My guess is they either have a guard slot in mind for Satele or are hoping someone will offer a third or fourth before draft time.

I think they signed their center & satele will back up grove & smiley, unless he has a humongous training camp & pre-season. They will compete at every position.

Damn Satale has really fallen. If he is niot strong enough for center he will definately not eb strong enough at guard

Grove will most likely be our starting center. Hopefully he bulks up by another 10 pounds at least. Satele, if either one of our starting guards (Thomas or Smiley) is not yet recovered from their injuries, most likely would be used as a backup guard. I don't think he sees much, if any time, at center next season with Grove signed and Berger projected to be his backup.
