Satele being moved to guard?

" Okobi also received interest from the Miami Dolphins who Scout.com first reported a few weeks ago are considering moving starting C Samson Satele to guard."

Interesting, thanks for the link

I think that would be a mistake. He did great as a rookie at center and will only improve. He only gave up something like 2 sacks and had 2 holding pentalies. Something like that

I agree, he did a great job at center and will only get better there. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. A good center is harder to find than a good guard.

I agree 100%

Not quite, alot of people consider Guard a more important position. LeCharles Bentley is the biggest FA Center in recent years, and he got 6 years 36 million with 12.5 million guaranteed. Derrick freaking Dockery, who isnt near what Bentley was as a Center got 7 year, 49 million with 18 million guaranteed.

I dont think there's a non-special teams position in the game that has a highest percentage of UDFA's starting then Center.

Then why did we have crap playing center for so many years?
Remember Seth M.,or Ruddy?

Because we had bad players there?

Tim Ruddy was not even remotely close to a bad player, either.

Agreed, Ruddy was a great player for our team. He wasn't spectacular by any means, but was solid and reliable for a number of years. You want stability from your center position, and Ruddy certainly provided that.

Regarding Samson, I'll leave that up to the coaching staff, but I really think he's best served under center. I thought he had an outstanding year, and could really blossom. It's hard not to say that he was our best draft pick this year. I'd like to keep him at center, but that's just my opinion.

Name a former Miami center ,not named Seth, that was worse than Tim Ruddy.
Ruddy stayed on his backside more times than I can count.

I disagree. There is a reason the fans called him Tim cRuddy. He got pushed backwards 5 yards on every play, frequently pushed into the QB.

Thank you...
Ruddy was so weak,i could not believe he was a pro football player.

Seriously, when did you guys start watching the Dolphins? 2003?

Tim Ruddy was a very good to elite center for most of his career until his knee started giving out.
