BLITZKRIEG
~LACUNA LEGIONS~
I'll tell you, it's damn tough trying to see everything that's going on at TC these days. They are doing almost all of their team drills on the opposite side of the field, and then there's this covered "break area" in between the two fields. It's hard to get a great glimpse of everything....
What I did see was Feeley connect with Chambers {one arm grab down the sidline} on the opening play for what looked to be an 80 yard TD. Mare added the extra point. That was impressive...
The next drive the offense slowly made it's way down to around the 20, there was a nice over the middle catch by McMike on the drive, and then it stalled. Mare made a FG from there. Two drives 10 points, not bad....
Frerotte had his shot, and it wasn't as impressive this day. He did manage to move the chains a few time with some good throws, but he never got them into scoring position. Ricky is still running hard, and Morris was impressive tonight from what I saw during most of those offensive series...
Rosenfels was lackluster most of the day. He couldn't seem to find much of a connection on a consistant basis...
The defense got to the QB's a few times today. It was good to see them shut down the offense for the most part in today's practices. DT L. Chester is way out of shape. I know he's coming off an injury, but come on man, what I saw out there was a man defeated. He's got some serious work to do IMO....
I like what I saw. It's clear how tight a ship Saban is running when you're watching these guys practice. Everything is in motion, and the tempo is great. This is the way I always envisioned what a TC should be like. Saban is doing a very respectable job keeping these guys focused. I'm impressed...
For the most part that's about the most that I could see.....
PHINZ RULE!!!
