The suspense is killing me so here are my FA predictions.

1. Drew Brees becomes Miami's QB, Gus is released. Aaron Brooks is signed as a back-up. The speculation comes true. Brees is not stupid and he would be if he goes to New Orleans. Minnesota will make a play for him, but why go to a team with a good coach, no good WR's, No good RB and a team that need lots of help? Just putting myself in his shoes, I go to a team that has a great coaching staff a great WR, Great TE and a very promising young RB. I know this is speculation but if Brooks gets released by NO he would be a good fit in Miami. He is linked to our GM and he's the type of QB our new OC likes to coach. I think is possible Gus would remain and back-up but he'll have to accept a huge paycut and he might not want to. I think we will also draft a QB, possibly Whitehurst.

2. New OL. I think Mawae (sp?) was a smoke screen as was Ms-Kinney and we will go hard after Bentley and Tom Ashworth. I think Saban was serious when he said he wanted to upgrade the OL and I think he will. Ashworth will be signed to start on the Right side not the left. I believe he will sign a vet (LT from Atlanta or Cleveland) or draft one with the 16th selection. At least this is what I hope. In any case I believe we'll have three new starters on the OL this year.

3. CB I think we will sign a CB. We need the depth and there is help to be had. Signing one quality CB might allow Daniels to move to Free Safety where he is probably more suited to play. I think we will draft a DB (SS or CB) in the 1st or 2nd round.

4. DT I can't spell his name but the gigantic dude from Baltimore will be one of our top targets. Sam Adams may also be signed and I think Traylor will be released. I would love to add the youngster.

5. On lower level deals I think we add a ST dude or two and proably a vet outside LB.

Overall I see 5 significant signings. A surprise to those who thought Saban would be conservative.

In the draft I see a possible surprize pick in the 1st if we solve the OL problem. I really think Saban will draft Bobby Carpenter if he gets the chance. Greg Blue in the 2nd and a QB in the 3rd.

I know there are a hundred posts like this so take it for what its worth - a way to pass time before midnight.

We need a QB obviously...we may grab Ashworth or L.J. Shelton for an OT...we need a linebacker. Will Witherspoon, Willie McGinest.

My prediction for saturday morning:

I wake up late for work
Throw on the same shirt and pants I wore last night, jump in my car and get pulled over on the way there. In the rush to get out the door I forget my wallet and cannot produce a licence. I am held up for an hour or so to get everything straightend out, then I can get to work and get bitched at for being late.

Customers will go out of their way to piss me off
A customer will come in and take a swing at me with her purse, because she does not understand the concept of renewing your contract for a discounted price on your phone. If I am lucky I get hit and a concussion, that way I can leave early. If not I kick her out of the store, get on the computer and log onto finheaven.

I realize the internet is out and I kill myself because I still have another eight hours before I can find out weather or not we signed Brees or traded for Culpepper. I bet jumping out in the middle of traffic never felt so nice

if she looks anything like Spurz mother than we are in business.... VaDolfan13. Tonight can not come any faster.

I would love to see most of that happen, but we only have $6.3 Million in cap space.

IMO we won't get anything done until Saturday night at the earliest, and everybody will become paranoid and a bunch of newbies will bad mouth Saban.

We'd save money when we cut frerotte!

True, but we would only cut Gus if we sign Brees, who would take up more cap space than Gus. We also have to pay the new draft picks.

They can restructure ZT/JT and free up some more room.

In Mueller's interview, he was confident they'd have @12 million available, at minimum.

Given the amount of money in this year's free agent market, we'll be able to clear enough cap space for two high-dollar free agent contracts: one for a quarterback, one for a lineman. After that, we're in the bargain bin.

Brooks shouldn't even be allowed to step foot anywhere near the Dolphins organization.
