Saturday Morning Scrimmage Tweets

ya doesnt make sense to me either... only thing i can think of is to instill confidence in the ones and make the 2s better... but if the ones dont get some work vs other ones its gonna be a rude awakening come week 1.

But why play Garrard against the 2's so much?

Thanks for the tweets!

This is a veeeeeery early scrimmage, but several QB's got TD's and we saw some good accuracy numbers, so there's a lot to be happy about. Most of the 1v2's just gives the coaches a chance to see how the 2's really do against the real competition. The success of the 1's are expected and made more notable when it doesn't happen. It's really a chance for the 2's to prove they belong with the 1's.

I'm most happy to see Tannehill and Devlin doing well, because this is a bigger deal for them than the veteran QB's IMHO. Our WR's still had several drops though, which is disturbing to me, particularly Chad.

Didn't exactly sound like our #1 (Chad) stepped up to the plate today...

I hate it!

Remids me too much of "Sanchise".

I would rather go with T-hill. Even if T-hill sounds like a member of the Backstreet Boys.

I like the nickname "RT"..but I am giving consideration to "Lauren's Buns". It conjures up nice mental imagery...

The context of today's scrimmage ....

Ryan Tannehill was the most impressive quarterback of the three with a chance to win the starting job. Unofficial stats have him completing 10 of 13 passes for 114 yards and one TD without an interception. Tannehill took snaps with the third-team offense against both second-team and third-team defense.

To understand the context of this outing, recognize that Tannehill missed on his first two passes. So he completed 10 of his next 11 if the unofficial stats are to be believed.

David Garrard completed 9 of 17 passes for 57 yards and a TD. He worked primarily with the first-team offense against the second team defense.

Matt Moore struggled. He completed 10 of 20 passes for 65 yards with a touchdown pass. He had the tough task of working primarily with the backup offense versus the starting defense.

The context of today's scrimmage ....

well reading further into that article it doesn't sound like 3rd team players tannehill was throwing to... im not biased one way or the other, it sounds kinda like armando made a mistake there though. especially since all the beat writers said he came out with the 1st team O at first.

It was reported earlier that tannehill was working with the 1st team offense against the second team defense for most of the scrimmage. Not sure where you got that info from enigmatics.

I included the link to the Miami Herald bro.

My original point still stands about what we're actually getting reporting of.

The starters are all mixed around. It's not a true second or third team.
