Saturday Notes by Barry Jackson

This is the head scratcher stuff as a fan I simply don't get. Obviously, its not a secret that this guy hasn't been playing well and surely, there is someone else out there with better stats. So the burning question? Why signed him?

I know he is not going to be a Richard Sherman or something. However, Rogers was REALLY bad in Buffalo. The fans were so happy when he was cut.

I wonder how pissed Philbin is when Sherman gives things away to the media, things we should never give away. Like one time Sherman said he doesn't like to let Tannehill change the plays the first few plays of the game. Another time he said Philbin doesn't want to run vs 8 man fronts. And most recently he said they are coaching Tannehill to stay in the pocket and not use his legs.

If true, all of these giveaways can be pretty devastating to our offense.

Maybe he's just for special teams. R J Stanford was a special teams player.
Obvious situation is Carroll on the CB and Jimmy playing nickel. Jimmy is in his best form at the moment. As he said in the interview, he and Clemons are the QBs of the DBs. Jimmy is very confident in setting the Defense.

Patterson blew chunks before he got here too, maybe Coyle is a defensive back whisperer.

Suck on that..Everyone's whipping boy is solely responsible for that..

They are a fast team. They have some great elements that do well in the NFL.”

That adds up to $38 million in space for this upcoming offseason, and they can clear even more space

9th youngest team with 40 Million to spend...

I knew it wouldn't take long for people to start touting the "BUT LOOK AT THE CAP SPACE WE GOT FOR 2014" line when propping up Ireland. So how do you explain this? http://www.finheaven.com/showthread.php?342615-Disturbing-Salary-Cap-Number

Why the **** didn't we spend some of that $40 million in 2013? Maybe we'd be fighting for homefield advantage or a first week bye right now instead of hoping another team falters so we can slink into that final wildcard spot.

Patience young grasshopper.

irelands ability to evaluate pass rushing talent like cam wake, dion jordan, olivier vernon is far too under rated. hopefully, miami is smart enough to drop phillip wheeler at seasons end and move koa misi into his spot. dion jordan can be the outside linebacker we need and now we are finally starting to see it. im confident that taylor or davis will develop into fine players and the amount of depth we have on the dline and secondary is just lovely. we can focus our attention on the oline and adding another tightend. cant go wrong with adding another running back or even a big boy receiver.. this team is looking bright for the future and hopefully tomorrow we get to see some of the future ramifications of irelands work.
