I've always thought this kid was over-rated in the system/division he played in. And then after watching him in the Sugar Bowl just proved my opinions. Granted he played against a very good UGA program (GO DAWGS!!!), but still he's too small to play against the NFL elite. This is all of course my opinion, but I do think there are plenty of better options at QB in the draft.

Here's a bit from the Senior Bowl about Brennan.

"I wasn't a fan of University of Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan's footwork, and neither was freshly named San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike Martz. While working closely with the South quarterbacks, Martz repeatedly had Brennan drop back to work on his feet before jovially telling the former Rainbow Warrior, "You're so quick with everything," in reference to Brennan being in a hurry to get through the drill and not absorb what Martz was offering. "

I think he drops to 5th round after the poor bowl game, the poor weigh in and his poor to date Senior Bowl practices

He may drop further than that. I'm thinking he's more of a 6th or 7th round pick. Lack of size, below average arm strength, worked mostly out of the shotgun.............and isn't he a felon?

He is nothing but a rapists and a system quarterback. Can anyone say Timmy Cheng? Where is he now?

Yeah but he did run his system pretty good. I wouldn't mind having someone who could run our systems good.

Hilarious thread.

There are people here knocking Brennan for being exactly what Joe Flacco is - a system QB.

There are people here judging Brennan on one game, where he got NO protection and that was probably the only game they've ever seen him in.

There are people slagging him off for being a shade under 6'3. Buh???

There are people saying he's too light at 185lbs, despite having flu and losing 15lbs.

There are people saying he has a weak arm. Buh???

And those peoplv calling him a "felon" highlight exactly how much they know about him, which is not a great deal.

But why let internet conjecture and snowballing of half truths get in the way of a good story?

It's hard to argue with any of that, nor do I want to. But based upon what I saw of Brennan and Henne, and God knows you saw way more of both than I ever did, I'll take Henne. Flacco- I have no idea about him.

Well Henne played in a pro style offense, whereas Colt, because of his indiscretion at Colorado, was given a chance to rehab his career and his life in Hawaii and grasped it with both hands. He was a west coast QB in high school who went to run a WC offense with the Buffs. He turned into a pretty damn good and consistent run and shoot QB. Henne has more "pro style" skills in terms of delivery, arm strength (which is off the charts), etc. But he's also suffered from inconsistency whilst at Michigan. Brennan, in the right offense - and God knows there's enough of them out there for him - can be a good NFL QB.

You know, I see a little of Cherilius, of Clady, of Brennan, of Henne, and I form an opinion. Because that's all I've got, a little bit of time eyeballing a player and forming an opinion. It's not nearly the same as you forming an opinion of a player, not a fraction as thorough. That being said, Henne must have been on his "A" game against Illinois this year, because that's the game where I saw him play the most and I thought that he was lights out. As a matter of fact, I made a point of watching him because you had made a positive mention of him in a thread at some point before that game. His arm strength and accuracy on the deeper throws, particularly the outs if I remember correctly, was just outstanding. I watched that game and thought to myself, this guy is a pro QB.
