Say what you want....but Luck?

Oh, yes...the old "who do you work for response." Well, who the hell do you work for? This is a forum where this is exactly what we discuss...and quite frankly much of the input that has come from this board shows that we may know one hell of alot more than many of the people who do work for the NFL.

It's a legitimate question. He says he's seen all of the film on Luck and made an evaluation. Okay, let's hear some specifics. What other QBs has he studied? Why does he think Luck is overrated? How does Luck compare to a guy like Peyton Manning or Matt Ryan or Daunte Culpepper or even Chad Henne?

Giving me negative rep for calling out a post offering a player evaluation with absolutely zero factual analysis is pretty funny, too.

Luck has brought a team with little to no other talent to a top 5 ranking. Luck calls his own plays and runs a no huddle offense. Henne can't even do that as a pro. I guess ever single NFL scout is wrong and OP is right. Riiight. .

why the hell would anyone watch luck and reference tim tebow at all...just shows a complete lack of understanding if you ask me...tim tebow can't hold andrew lucks jock

andrew luck would start week 1 for us in 2012...and within a few years we'd all be doing back flips watching him play and be the face of our franchise...we'd finally have the most important piece to get us over the hump

So what are you seeing that you don't like? The kid dosent have many holes in his game and the ones there are pretty small. Nothing in the draft is a sure thing.

There is nothing that I "don't like". I have stated that I can see that he is a very good QB and he could really turn into something. To me he just doesn't stand out as some franchise savior like so many seem to be touting him as. He's very good, no doubt.
But, is he really any different than Tim Tebow was?

Stanford's record in the 7 seasons before Andrew Luck became the starting QB: 25-55. Never had a winning or even .500 record in those 7 years.

With Andrew Luck: 8-5, 11-1.

He's not that great, though. I looked at the tape and he's a big strong-armed QB with great presence who can make accurate throws all over the field. He runs a pro style offense and is a student of the game. Another Ryan Leaf, IMO.

im assuming sarcasm, but just want to make sure?

how can you compare him to Tebow?! This obviously tells me you don't know how to watch film... why waste your time?... He has a MUCH stronger arm, MUCH quicker release and MUCH MUCH more accurate arm than Tebow. Not to mention, he plays on a MUCH less talented team and in a completely different offense which is MUCH more suited to the NFL. comparing him to tebow is ludicrous...

Yeah. Like I said above, there is absolutely no reason to compare him to Ryan Leaf. Leaf had major red flags coming out of college that were well documented before the draft.

Yes. Luck > Tebow. tebow was on the gaytors team that had more tallent then some NFL teams. **** my Grandma could have played for the Gaytors ad did what he did. Luck is way greater and NFL ready then Tebow.

Dude you say hes a good QB, but everyone including scouts and Analyst predict him to be the next great thing. Maybe you need to go back to your scouting videos and reanalyze what you were watching.

If our fanbase does not want Andrew Luck then I think its safe to say nothing will please us..Can he bust out? Of course, but its time for us to take a big time qb. We need one in the worst way.

anybody see that one handed catch on the sideline by luck on the wr pass back to the qb wheel route pretty much saturday??? rediculous catch...i've made it my duty to watch and evaluate every game lucks played this season and i come away in awe with how much command of the huddle he has how well he sees the field his on field demeanor never changes his arm on the seam throws down the field to the te's and accuracy...this kids the goods...his mobility...his intelligence...his mastery of the offense...he sees the field like a maestro in the red zone...his head movement to manipulate coverages...the accuracy on the run and on the designed roll outs

this is peyton manning all over again with aaron rodgers legs...wait and see

my kingdom for andrew luck

Luck and Tebow are not even close..Tebow did his winning with his legs..He has horrible mechanics( to this day) and horrible footwork..Luck is excellent in both catagories.. Luck runs a pro style offense..Tebow ran a spread option..Not even close.

ya, that catch was ridiculous.

i have seen glimpses of luck, but never got the chance to sit down and watch an entire game to see what hes about. he is everything that the hype is making him out to be.

the guy will change our franchise in an instance. we must get him. no if's and's or buts.

No he isn't. We need to give up everything to get a coach that knows what to do with talent or we are doomed no matter who we get on this team.
Why would the two be mututaly exclusive? Those would likely be two different kinds of compensation. I agree with you about coaching, but Luck is the kind of guy who can make a poor HC look good. Imagine the upside with a good/great HC.
