Say what you want....but Luck?

you guys think tony dungy was some awesome with awesome sauce head coach??? he had peyton manning...you land a qb of that caliber and everyone in the building pretty much looks a lot better

I couldn't agree more.

Tim Tebow was/is touted as the "greatest college football player of all time".....what has that equated to in the NFL. Does anyone seriously see Luck as making an impact in college as Tebow? Now he is a 3rd stringer.

Luck has done more if you ask me. Tebow was a over gloried RB who happened to play QB for a team with a ton of talent on it. Talent that Luck is not afforded because Stanford is one of if not the hardest D1 schools to get into academically.

I want Luck as much as the next guy. I think the purpose of this post is that just because we get Luck doesn't mean were the next dynasty! We have a lot of problems on this team. Luck will fill a big hole, but he doesn't make Marshall catch the ball or Vontae stop being a ***** or our secondary getting burnt or ...........

You don't want me to compare him to Tim Tebow, but YOU will compare him to Peyton Manning? He is no Peyton Manning.

I will say AGAIN, that I see that the guy is good, I'll even say great.....(yes I saw the one handed catch, unbelievable catch that only a hand full of receivers could even make) but watch every "scouting clip" of the other top QB's in college and there isn't THAT big of difference in what you see.

It is stupid to want to tank a teams whole season just to land a player. Why would anyone think that would fix our franchise....

There IS some sense on Finheaven!!

That is EXACTLY my point....what I see is NOT a QB that is so amazing (Peyton Manning) that he alone can overcome everything else.

Clearly our franchise will be fixed by winning 5-6 meaningless games and choosing another corn fed lineman.

its called i will take a stand on what i see just like i always have...while you and most of these jokers will sit on a fence and try and play the hindsight is 20/20 game after the fact...

i'm all in on andrew luck as a pro franchise qb...he's a outlook changer...he's the best qb prospect in my opinion to come out in the last decade...

clear enough for ya???

Luck would be a start..We could build around him..We tried it the other way around and whiffed..We tried taking a linemen and building aroud him and the running game..It didnt work..You have to pass in this league..You have to convert 3rd downs..You have to score touchdowns in the redzone..Is Luck our savior from jump? No but he is the foundation of buidling a great franchise..

Luck is closer to Manning than Tebow is to any starting qb in the league.. Tebow should not even been a first round draft pick..It only takes one team to do it..Luck will be the #1 pick..There is no doubt.

Look at the difference that Cam Newton has made for the Panthers..There is hope there when they have not had hope in a while.Steve Smith has been reborn..

Do you think Luck is better than Newton?

It was pretty much a consensus amongst NFL personnel people that Tebow would suck in the NFL and wasnt a QB.

There really is no comparison what so ever between Luck and Tebow. Its not even CLOSE

i think newtons physical skillset could change the game...hell he's thrown for 400 yards almost 3 damn times already in 4 games...his package of run and polished passer in that body is just not found and its why he was the #1 overall pick...and many people here missed the boat on him as a pro passer

but as for a nfl qb prospect i would have taken andrew luck #1 over newton had luck come out last year...i think the panthers would have also at the time...

andrew lucks off the charts as a prospect imo...not overwhelming physically but plenty good enough and he's got everything between the ears you could ever want in a guy under center...he's peyton manning with better legs

I've made it my business to watch a lot of Andrew Luck over the last 2 years (I'm a gambling nut and get Stanford in the late game action a lot on Saturdays) and I am really sold on the kid. Like I've been saying, Henne is far from this team's biggest problem and I think he got a REAL raw deal here, but when u get a chance at some1 the caliber of Luck you take it. I will gladly sit thru another miserable season to get this kid.
He runs a pro style offense and controls it with amazing effeciency, he has very little talent around him but carries that team to wins week in and out, he has a huge arm, he's very accurate, he's very smart, a great leader and he's athletic as hell. There's really nothing to NOT like about Luck to be honest, I think he's the next Aaron Rodgers... But he's bigger and faster than Rodgers, kid is impressive to say the least.

Now I get it, "your" opinion so that's what makes your point better than mine. Sorry, now you opened my eyes.

Who is on the fence?....We need a coaching staff more than we need Luck. Never said I was against getting him/that he won't be good/isn't the best QB in this years draft. I said that I don't see him changing this team as it is now or be to a team what Peyton Manning is to the Colts. I am firmly planted on what side of the fence I'm on.

Oh it's clear all right my friend.

Exactly, I mean I didnt really think Newton was going to be this good..but rookie qb's have shown what they can make impacts...From Ryan to Josh Freeman to Sanchez and Cam Newton.

We will be very fortunate to land Andrew Luck. I hope he comes here with attitude he had in stanford.

Honest question. Did you really think that Cam would be as good passing the ball as he has been? I know that didn't...
