say what you will about Jay but...

Jay was angry when first questioned, then released the revised politically correct comment about being a team player. Maybe during the time between the two comments he remembered how many teams contacted him about being a starter during the offseason.

By all means, let's call Wayne up and let him know you're tired of Jay because your opinion is what should control the policy of the Miami Dolphins. (am I the only one who uses this smily?)
Its a message board wise a$$, he has a right express his opinion even if your too self-absorbed to accept it.

I have a right to express that his opinion that the Dolphins should do things because he is "tired" sucks. See, they really are just like *******s -- everybody has one.

The thing that bothers me about Jay is he thinks he's better then he is and thats not good for the team, he needs to play backup and offer AJ as much help by his knowledge and experience that would be best for this team. The problem like I said is Jay thinks he's a starting QB but he's not. Part of the delusion could be his record thanks to the D not Jay.
Well said, I couldn't agree more:cooldude:

Classic Hello pot? This is kettle!

lot of jay haters in here better pray aj doesnt "suck in the first half of the next game...what then ... as parcells said you armchairs are funny .. you think you can dial up 1-800-QUARTERBACKS? and get a great qb? If feely is as good as all the guys on here dogging jay think he is GREAT ...BUT he hasnt won a game for this team yet.... There are not that many good let alone great qbs in the nfl right now .. so you may be sorry thinking aj is the savior this soon .. I want to see him in a game type situation where he is scoring on 4th quarter desperation...up till that drive i wasnt real impressed and he did have a td interception return .. regardless of whos fault it was.

he gave his best and that is all that matters, unfortunately it was not enough, but many good memories still

It's come to a point where you get bashed for saying something positive about Fiedler.

I agree, Fiedler is a great team player and leader IMO. He's always had the heart to play, regardless of whether he has the talent or not to succeed. I don't question the guy's heart because he's got the passion.

You can question his arm stength, and have good reason too, but not his heart...

Oh yeah, and I'm sick of all the fire wanny/get jay hurt people that can't read anything positive without bashing and/or name calling the person pointing out the positive. It always ends up disrespectful. I have an opinion too! They are a dime a dozen.

If AJ sucks, then we lose all hope for a playoff season or near playoff season. If Wannstatd tries to go back to Jay, then I will puke. Pick a guy and stick with him, or how else do you expect him to be confident :fire: . In some ways I think Jay's performance suffered b/c he was on a short leash, possibly trying to force plays to happen like that pick in the endzone where Booker WAS NOWHERE near open.

Of course if AJ sucks off the bat, I think the fans have to understand he is basically a rookie in there and that despite his dissappointing play, he hasn't had four years of dissapointing and underachieving play ala Jay Fiedler. By this point we should have reasonable patience to expect nobody is going to come in and be Marino right away. We reluctantly showed little patience, if any at all for Jay in the beginning. But his rare sparks of good play and the fact that Dave has stuck with him for four years (something out of our control) gave us no option but to be patient.

In other words, AJ has a cushion for failure. Assuming Dave can bite the bullet.

Your right Jay is a class act

Jay is a winner
Jay has a great winning percentage
Jay is a good leader

......but the fact of the matter is Jay is the worst starting QB in the NFL and is a great backup at best. He lacks the athletic ability, armstrength, accuracy, and decision making skills to lead this team to any place other than mediocrity,

I think that Jay is probably somewhere between the 30th and 40th best QB in the league at this point. When you consider that two out of those ten guys should be starting and that due to things like Kitna backing up Palmer happen, Jay may even be a marginal starter. I don't dispute your assessment of Jay's skills except for the decision making part, and I agree that I'd like to see the Dolphins do better. Let's hope AJ is that better guy.
