I am excited about a speed guy as well, but until Henne proves he can throw down field, it doesn't really matter. Whether it was Henne or the play calling, stats are stats.

Deep passes. (20 yards or more)

Henne appears at the bottom of the list after completing just 10-of-40 such passes last year (25 percent). Of the 31 quarterbacks who qualified, only Kansas City’s Cassell was worse than Henne in completing deep passes (14-for-57, 24.56 percent).

Not only did Henne not complete the deep pass often enough, he didn’t take many chances, either, despite having one of the stronger arms in the league.
According to PFF, only 8.15 percent of Henne’s throws went more than 20 yards (40 of 491), ranking him 30th among 31 QBs.
