Schefter: Flynn will visit with Dolphins on Saturday

Unlikely that we'll be signing Peyton Manning tomorrow if Flynn is coming, right? .... :(

I don't think we're that high on Flynn and are using his visit to call Peyton's bluff (if we do believe he wants to be in Miami).  I dunno, we'll see...I think you'll see quite a lowball offer from Miami.  Don't think Philbin is sold, JMHO.

Bro it may have been a case of Ireland and Ross pushing this more than Philbin could push for in his first year.

I think that's certainly possible.

I think it's also possible that Philbin would defer to Sherman on QB, given that Sherman is senior to him and a mentor.  If Sherman is super-high on Tannehill, Philbin's liking of Flynn might take a backseat.  And yes, coupled with Ross' obsession, one can see how Philbin's wishes for Flynn would get buried.

But for me, there are enough indications that Flynn is a good, but not elite, QB.  We need to find someone with elite potential, and Philbin probably realizes that.  Miami has suffered through enough stopgap QBs and journeymen.  I also think Philbin is smart enough to see what he has on film with Moore and compare it to what he knows of Flynn.  I really don't think that difference is going to be striking enough to him.  Again, that's just my gut feeling.

Honestly, if Flynn can come here @ 5 million per, then it's not much of an investment so you bring him in. If all fails Barkley is ours.

Please, please please Mr. Ross: Just Say No to Flynnsanity! You will be wasting "superstar" money on a future career backup, Sincerely Wayne Huizenga (brought in AJ Feeley)
