Pump the breaks on Peyton Manning for just a minute, schefter just said on sportscenter that there has been a surprising and healthy dialogue going on between Peyton and Irsay in the past few days, he said both sides are trying to figure out a way to keep Peyton, there would have to be some restructuring of some contracts including Peyton's, schefter said Peyton wants to stay in Indy and it is becoming a realistic possibility now.

I can't see how Manning and Luck wind up on that team together... If they keep Peyton, the 1st and 2nd pick this year could be up for grabs.

It still doesn't make sense to keep him there if they draft Luck. Luck is going to want to start from day one and probably should start like Newton did last year.

He could stay with them but they will probably have to cut him first as they wont pay the 28mill....they might try and negotiate after that tho.

Ozzy rules!1

Saw it also. Schefter also said that a divorce is still likely.

I agree, I still don't see how they're going to tie up $50 million between Peyton and Luck and then try to resign guys like Mathis, garcon, and Wayne, it just does not make much sense.

Well I guess we all knew it was too good to be true. If both sides are speaking as reported, they will likely come to some kind of agreement. The Fins get left at the altar...again.
If this continues, the Flynn vs reaching for Hennehill debate begins again..

your right manning and Luck wont be playing on the same team imo if what ive heard and seen dont be surprised if indy dont grab RG3 to sit behind manning if manning is kept, look for something like this to play through.

How would the Dolphins be left at the alter? If Manning doesn't get released that means he never was an option.

Not going to happen.

This meeting is to save face with the fans so they can claim, "we tried".

Both sides know what will end up happening.

Well, he was an option in our speculative minds..lol
It just seems like we can't catch a break. We need something good to happen on the QB front.

It is actually the perfect scenerio. We should have been grooming when Marino was still around.

I really hope you are right.

We groomed Scott Mitchell for Detroit.

It makes no sense for Manning. He doesn't have time to wait for the new regime to rebuild the team. He has 2-3 seasons left, if healthy. It'll be at least that long before they are a contender again, but probably longer. There is absolutely no way Manning would be OK with wasting his last few years on a non-contender...
