Schefter: Ross wants Philbin, Ireland wants McCoy

. < This is what a period looks like. GM and owner and debating over a coach?! Yea that never happens in sports. #1 joke in sports? Read some Jets headlines. They're pretty funny

Imagine if we panicked with one .500 year, hell some people wanted Sparano back after three straight losing seasons. i think we have lost so long we dont know what is good and bad anymore

Well after 3 straight losing seasons, 8-8 doesn't look so bad. The next head coach shouldn't feel a lot of pressure. It's not like we've been relevant for the past 15+ years.

Sorry Schefty, but I don't buy this for one second. How in the world, would they know such intimate details of what's going on behind the walls of the Dolphin organization? Is Ireland telling his homeboy that him and his boss are at odds with who to choose??? Come on! No way such private information leaves the circle of of Ireland, Ross and maybe Peterson.

i thought the owner has final say on his product, here is where ross needs witch slap ireland tell him i own this team i pick the coach

I think I have this figured out...... McCoy must have said in his interview that he would like to bring in Ex-Cowboy players and staff and this swayed Ireland to like him... LOL

I really dont want an owner like that. We hear all these stories about owners meddling in things they really arent qualified to make decisions on. Ross thought Ireland was worth keeping over Jeff Fisher, so he needs to let Ireland make the call on the right coach thats fits. I'd really like to see Irelands vision for this team, that way if the new coach fails we can hold him accountable. If Ross chooses the coach, it will be tough to point he finger at Ireland.

Ross made it clear when this began that he would have the final decision, so it's not a mystery that he will.

Ross should ask FH members...........cause obviously we have it all figured out and agree too. What a mad house!

Remember a few years ago when it seemed like just about everyone on this board wanted Scott Pioli as GM?

If you've been following some of the stuff out of KC since he's been there, Jeff Ireland doesn't look that bad.

Haley was made to be paranoid and plenty of long-time Chiefs employees have quit because of the new regime.

I think Ireland has done a good job and he deserves to make the decision. He's the "football guy". Let him make the decision and we'll all go from there...or turn your sights to KC if you still think Pioli was what Miami needed.

you talking about the chiefs that went to the playoffs last year and did pretty good???? are we talkin about the same chiefs? chiefs are a great team atm but cut the injury bug this year, pioli is a great gm, please dont put ireland in the same sentense with him.
