If it is only 4 games I'd rather have Marshall then 2 3rd round picks. really ****ty comepensation for Marshall. If it was 2 2nd rounders or even 1 then thats a different story

We're building a football team not a boy's choir. If the compensation was there then we should have pulled the trigger, but this is just unjustifiable.
*EDIT* Also, is everyone forgetting the fact that Ireland is the guy who traded for Marshall to begin with? If Marshall really is a lost cause and he's going to be suspended for this entire season, doesn't Ireland have to take accountability here?

I think you guys fail to calculate the risk. Remember, risk is the LIKELIHOOD something happens and the SEVERITY if it does. If Marshall gets a 4 game suspension, he is on incident away from losing him for a YEAR. Does anyone truly, full-heartedly, believe that he ISN'T going to be involved in another incident? The dude's track record is miles long. Planning without him knowing this situation now makes a lot of sense.

Why do some people not get the two third round picks situation? The Dolphins now have four third round picks to use in trades for players or move up in the draft.
This and/or next year, Miami may be able to use these picks to move into the first, probably second, round and get a player(s) we really need and want.

IMO I think the gut is a complete piece of #$#@ for all of the altercations he has with women, but at the end of the day, he's still worth more than two 3's. That's a great price to pay for a legit #1 receiver.

You just want to bitch about Ireland. He is miserable because he traded for Marshall and he is miserable because he traded him away. Ireland tried to land a #1 WR. He traded for one. Figuring that being back home in Florida, the organization could make it work. It didn't so instead of burying his head in the sand, or just cutting him outright, he got something in return.
The Steelers unloaded Santonio Holmes for a 4th or a 5th, no one questioned them. BM is a step away from missing a year, do you think after this incident it will be his last? I am sure him and his level headed wife will probably understand what is at stake and change their life right? We may look back at this 2 years from now and laught that the Bears gave up so much for him.

Another hack reporting job by Scheftler. Why is anyone listening to this guy? He knows nothing more about this incident than we do and he's already found him guilty and assigned a 4 game suspension to him. Not saying Marshall is or is not guilty, but how can you make a statement like he's getting a 4 game suspension from this when the guy hasn't been officially charged or found guilty of anything. I'm just waiting for Scheftler to somehow blame our frachise for this and say we drove Marshall to do it in the first place. I wish Scheftler would just shut the h#ll up!

He's gonna be suspended no doubt about it. He was already suspended in 2008 for three games but got it reduced to one game and two game checks. If there is one thing you should know about Goodell it's that he can't stand players who shed a negative image of the NFL. He suspended Rapistberger for 6 games and he didn't even stand trial and was only guilty in the public's eye. After last years stabbing/public disturbance when Marshall met with Goodell you know he said this is the last straw. I don't want to hear about another one of these "incidents that are never your fault" or I will have to suspend you. Now in this situation we have a woman, who filed a police report, accusing Marshall of punching her in the eye. This is after the report of Marshall and his wife and another football player getting into an arguement where they were forced to leave the bar. Of course he's gonna get suspended, and Miami will be off the hook for the rest of his signing bonus.
