Schefter say Marshall will probably face a multigame suspension

I think after last year's incident the team informed Marshall "1 more strike and you're gone. It doesn't matter if you're convicted or not. One more situation and you're gone."

The trade won't be voided. It is being reported that the Bears knew about the incident before the trade. Might be why they were able to get him for just two 3rd round picks.

I think he does face a YEAR suspension at this point, but my bet is that he probably gets 4 games max.

how does he get a year if he hasnt been suspended for it (smacking women) yet? Has he ever been suspended by the league?

marshall always get into s#$% and then comes up with some outlandish explination. Claimed the serious cut wound he suffered in Denver occured when he slipped on a McDonalds wrapper and fell arm first through the tv. Last lear shows up with a stab wound and claims he accidently stabbed himself. Now we're to believe he was at a club and his wife was hit in the head with a bottle and he did nothing in return.

Justin Tuck, Frank Gore, Ronde Barber, Steve Smith...all third round picks. Admittedly we won't get that kind of talent but it is available. Heck Marshall was 4th round. An extra pick in the third round is better than a player that might not even be able to play for a year.
