Schefter suggests Peyton Manning could be a Phin next year.

You are not saying NO to Peyton Manning are you? Please tell me I am misunderstanding you or that was a joke

So a guy can't have his own opinion to you? Is it a joke if he doesn't agree with your opinion?

Who KNOWS if Peyton will ever be the same after this surgery? Sure...I would LOVE to have Peyton on this team...PRE neck troubles. Not only that, but he's turning 36 next season. Granted, he still could have tons of skill left in him, but no one knows what to expect with this injury.

Neck injuries have debilitated and ended the careers of many good to great players in ALL sports. Let's not attack someone's opinion about a player who could potentially have a serious career threatening injury.

Take him take him take him take him take him

We really need to either have Henne turn the corner this season, or if not, draft one of the "Big3" to put this kind of ad nauseum speculative horse manure to rest once and for all.

Ross would open the vault for him if he could come close to passing a physical. Of course, our doctors will screw it up somehow.

You want the stadium filled, have Peyton Manning be the QB for a few years.

i don't think any qb legend would want to play for this regime

What? Are they just making stuff up now? It must be Let's make up the news day.

If the colts were smart, they'd cut Manning loose.

Manning is going to be out all of this season and when he comes back he probably only has one or two good years left in him and I don't see the colts returning to the superbowl any time soon with or without Manning. I'm not sure if a couple of above average seasons is worth 100 million dollars.

That team is a bottom feeder without him. If healthy ,I think he gives them +6-7 wins vs. his replacement (in this case Collins). It will be interesting what the Colts do this off season if this injury lingers after the "normal" healing period. That is a boat load of cash to risk on an injury that can debilitate like a neck injury can.

His neck injury is scary. If he was to get his 5 head surgically reduced it could help his neck out and make it an interesting proposition.

some scuttlebutt that peyton may never suit up again in the nfl...shocking as it is...anyways the colts season is over before it ever started...and bill polian as a talent evaluator can finally be really judged instead of like tony dungy and others just clinging to peytons coat tails

possibly can add another team who will be looking to move up or looking very hard at a qb in the 2012 draft...i bet if peyton misses this entire year the colts will be all about going and getting their qb in this upcoming draft

If henne fails, and the colts cut manning, and he is healthy enough to play, the FO has to take a run at him. Everything is in place for a solid qb to turn this team into a contender.

I hope it is henne. But i honestly do not give a rat's *** who the qb is that finally succeeds. Just step up. Please.

lol Miami would go after a QB that used to be. I wouldn't be surprised though if Peyton gets cut or retires though.

I think Adam Shefter is smoking the same thing Ricky Williams is....there is no chance P. Manning will ever wear a Phin's jersey. Shefter is becoming even less credible than Bleacher Report.

Sad part is they would transition to a new QB after Peyton immediately, unlike us waiting what... 13 years now for a QB.. inexcusable. Packers went from Favre to Rodgers in one offseason.
