Schefter video- Dolphins chances of landing Manning are dwindling

I believe Miami is out of the race.

Unfortunately I agree, I have a gut feeling that Miami is out of the PM sweepstakes. No evidence just a gut feeling. Hope I'm wrong!

I'm OK with how this turns out, either way. However, if we miss out on Manning, I want the Dolphins to go all-in on RGIII.

I'm good either way. If he signs great, if not great.

I will say though that the media is making Peyton Manning look like a coward...yesterday the #1 reason he wouldn't sign with the Dolphins was Tom Brady...didn't want to play Tom Brady twice a year, now it's reporters "jarring" him. Seriously? He sounds like a coward...which I know he is not.
I'm really tired of Espn. They absolutely suck. All speculation, all the time. They no longer report facts, just throw stuff out there and see what sticks.

Would you want to play for the Dolphins after talking to Ross? I know Ross's intentions are good, but if he's the reason we strike out on Manning, than that would be his 3rd strike...Harbaugh, Fisher, Manning. He needs to stop trying so hard and let the football "professionals" (Philbin, Ireland) handle this. I think the Dolphins need to do their due dilligance and you can't sign the guy without knowing how he's throwing. We hire accounting staff all the time without seeing them perform, but it's not for mutli million dollar contracts either.

ross did the correct thing w/ fisher

I get the feeling he isn't referring to the amount of media attention as much as the TYPE of local media.

Our local media are so shallow and completely lacking any remote semblance of professionalism and perspective it may be hard to accept for someone who is used to media respect since his college days.

He's just covering his bases. By the end of all this he will have said every team is the frontrunner for Manning, so in the end he will have been right.

He's so full of sh*t his eyes are brown. Really, a "media frenzy" is gonna stop Manning? Like he's never dealt with the media before? He's been to a superbowl before, and the media there (even this past year when he didnt even play) was ten times worse.

Bottom line is no one has any idea where he's gonna go. They're making up "possible reasons" for this and that so they can continue to make money off coverage of this. The best thing to do is wait and let Manning decide.

so let me get this st8. manning got spooked because the media was all around him the day of his free agency? But he can play qb in the nfl? Makes no sense.

And Harbough? he wasnt signing with anyone but sf. Ross getting killed because he was the only one trying to sign him. if Denver wanted to sign him he would have spurned them too.

Fisher? We turned him down. the media folks are all ass***es.
