Yes, he said Manning would not meet with any team unless he was serious, that is why KC, jets, seahawks, and skins were all eliminated, schefter said the Manning is "intrigued" by the dolphins but the lack of organizational structure turns him away, this seems to be the sentiment around the league, jeff darlington also said this on NFLN.

He's a complete idiot. Not just because he loves to bash on the Phins, but because he's a idiot and condradicts himself, not to mentions he just floats out his opinion all the time as fact without a shred of evidence. A week ago, we were the top team. After the Denver & AZ visits, we were out of it. He then said we'd not even get a visit. Now that we did, he said it was a courtesy visit (for 6 hours??? Some courtesy). Now we are out of it again because we have a dysfunctional FO. I'm sorry, when did he personally talk to Manning during any of this??? That's what I thought. His middle name has to be Scott, it's the only way his initials make any sense.

In 2005 Shefter visited Dolphins camp and said Nick Saban's practices were the most productive and organized he's ever seen in his life and that the 05 Dolphins would win at least 10 games. 3 weeks later on NFL networks preview show he picked us to go 5-11 and finish last in the AFC east.
