Schulters to start?

Very interesting... I've been wanting Lance Schulters to crack the starting lineup, I've wanted him to earn the starting job. This is really good news, let's hope it results in a very good way.
 
I'm personally a big Shulters fan and very excited he's been given a chance with us. I think we will feel his presence and might end up being our best secondary player...unless Madison plays lights out.
 
He's proven. Good move by Nick. Hopefully this won't effect Bell's confidence too much.

not surprising...why Yeremiah would start with the safeties we brought in I had no clue.

Because Tebucky Jones is a pretty darn good SS. Bell is great depth if either get hurt. If Shulters gets hurt he's in FS, if Jones gets hurt Shulters goes to SS and Bell goes to FS.
 
I think this is primarily a reaction to the uncertainty at the CB position opposite Madison rather than a reflection on Bell's play. Schulters has the experience to make up for problems at that CB position, whereas Bell may not.
 
I figured Shulters would start around the bye. Guess he's making strides and is 'reacting' in practice now.

Tebucky Jones is the SS and this could be a good move (he has played his best at this position after spending quite a few seasons at FS and CB earlier in his career). With Jones at SS and Schulters at FS we have a very physical combination at the S positions - lets hope this works out!
 
This is great news.. Our safety tandem with Lance and Tebukey Jones is looking pretty good right about now.:driveby:
