I have not seen Wright play a great deal but the more reports on him I read, some scouts compare him to Zach Thomas. Same motor, similar limitations. Would love it it he fell to us in Round 2. A Fin's draft of Mackenzie Alexander in round 1, and Wright in round two would have me very excited. Any chance he falls to the 2nd round?

It is so damn disrespectful to Thomas that every white linebacker of any ability is automatically compared to him.

No he is not the "exact same player" nor were the last 100 white linebackers

Funny, I just read a draft report on him on NFL.COM which compared him EXACTLY to Zach Thomas. With respect, I don't know your scouting credentials but I would think that AFC personnel man is more qualified and equipped to make that judgement. I also never mentioned race. I don't care if he is blue, if he is comparable to Zach, that peaks my interest.

I can assure you he is not EXACTLY Zach Thomas.

If he is EXACTLY Zach Thomas why are you talking about taking him in the second round? Surely you would trade up to first overall for a clone of Zach Thomas?

He is indeed a white linebacker though

Again, I am not sure what color he is has to do with this, but the opinion is he is most comparable to Zach Thomas. I just read two separate pieces on NFL.COM. I am not qualified to make that or any comparison on him, but I trust that these talent evaluators are. With respect, what are your credentials? Do you have some background in scouting NFL prospects?? If not, and this is just your opinion, thats ok too. Just reacting to what I read on the site. Who wouldn't want a clone of Zach on the team??

And many around here thought Jeff Ireland was more qualified to draft personnel for the Miami Dolphins too.

Scooby Wright is no where near the player Zach Thomas was...I see no similarities there other than they share the same level of intensity. Wright doesn't have Zach's instincts, sure tackle ability, intelligence, he takes bad angles sometimes (something Zach almost never did), he has poor coverage ability too.

Zach Thomas at 5 ft 11 and 235 lbs would never in a million years go #1 overall

At this time of year, the absurdities will be plentiful.

Zach Thomas had a motor that is probably only matched today by Kuechly. He exceeded expectations and then some. Talk about a steal drafting him in the 5th

See link I attached in prior post. What is absurd about this comparison? Production and competitive fire. Is that not how you would describe Zach Thomas?

No. Scooby will be a backup at best in the nfl. To be honest I wouldn't even consider drafting him. Nothing he does impresses me.

Yet, he won every single front 7 award as a sophomore, and continually had an impact in every game he played, he is not worth a 50 pick, but is very much worth a 3rd rounder and will be a starter in the NFL...his instincts and play are too good. His biggest knock is he is a limited athlete, but he will have an impact on a team due to his pre-snap and diagnosis. Makes up for some of his limited athletic ability.
