Scott Fujita, LB New Orleans will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He is listed on ESPN.com as being 6'5 250 lbs and 30 years old. I remember seeing in the Q and A session with Bill Parcells that Fujita is the one player that he regretted losing to another team. I think he might be a target of the Front Office.

I am not saying that we should or should not go get him in FA but just making an observation of someone that might be targeted by the Dolphins.

Thoughts?

He will be 31 in April
His first 5 years in the NFL he didn't miss a game
he missed 5 games last season and his stats were Crowder like,,,I just don't see a great upgrade here for someone thats going to be 31 years old with injuries becoming a problem

I pointed it a couple days ago, Parcells said he regrets letting him go. I can see him replacing Akin. Miami needs to aquire two ILB, so even if Fujita is aquired I expect us to draft a ILB.

Or just one good one to put next to Crowder.

Even if he's on par with Crowder stats-wise he'll be an upgrade. He will at least bring some leadership/maturity, which Crowder sorely lacks.

Crowder HAS to go. Nolan seems like a no nonsense guy and Crowder seems like a screw ball. I can't see them getting along. Especially with Crowder seeming to be out of position so often. I guess it will depend on who they can pick up but I would love for them to get rid of him because he just does not make enough plays. His big mouth does not help his cause either because he cannot back it up!

Crowder next to a disiplined guy like McClain would really flourish IMO. Is he the best ILB-no. But for a team that has a lotta holes-i dont see replacing him a priority.

Sounds good to me as long as it's not him and crowder I would rather have him and a rookie like mcclain. All I hope we can avoid is crowder getting stuck having too mentor our rookie lb's, too me that would be unacceptable. I don't want any of our rookies picking up his bad habits. That might be a good reason to bring in fujita kinda like a pennington type player someone who could play for a few more yrs and be invaluable in mentoring the rooks, Alright I'm sold let's do it.

Fujita would not be an upgrade over Akin or Channing. There's a reason Who Dat Nation is not interested in re-signing him.
