Scott Shields is making a definite case for himself. He may present the Dolphins with a difficult number of decisions to make. After the TD today, it is evident he has good instincts for the ball and can make secondary calls. At his size and speed you have to wonder why he is in Europe to begin with, but he has a mission to make and a message to send to the Steelers.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Well Lee, one game does not make a player. He has to prove that he will consistantly stick his nose in there, every down. Instincts are a huge question with him, and one TD return could have been a lucky guess on his part. I have not seen him at all in Europe, so maybe he has improved, but I will save any judgement for TC when the hitting starts and he is playing against top caliber WRs, TEs, RBs, etc.

Hopefully he gets his act together.....

Well, a quote from his own coach over there sort of indicates where he thinks Scott is. He basically indicated he did not expect to see Scott over there next year, and that he is the leader of that secondary. A man on a mission to prove Pittsburg wrong.

He certainingly has the size and height to be disruptive, not unlike Oliver in our secondary a few years ago. However, Oliver's instincts were not that great either.

Oliver instinct were not too good until a couple of year into hos career. Spent too much time trying to deliver the big hit, but he was a #1 pick. Shields will have to make his mark on ST beating 2 good ones in Gamble and McGarrahan
