I know, I know, I hate threads like this too.  But this actually could make sense.  Scott Wells is looking like he will be out in GB and will hit the market.  We don't have a need for center, but Wells was one of the better centers in the league last year, and most likely has a good relationship with Philbin.  Acquiring Wells would allow us to kick Pouncey to Guard and maybe Carey back to T (or draft/sign a replacement tackle).  Just a thought.  The Green Bay connection could be in play, and would especially would help Flynn, if we got him.
 
I was wondering the same thing but I have not seen enough of him to know one way or the other.
 
signing two guys gets three positions filled that would be too smart i think
 
I would be all for it as Pouncey at LG could be beastly and we wouldn't have to endure his high snaps. Incogs at RG and then a "may the best man win" at RT (Jerry, Murtha, Garner, Carey, draft pick, FA, etc.).

Also would be great if we brought Flynn in.
 
Wells is a pretty above average-pretty good center. Very underrated in Green Bay... I get all the Packers games here at school, Whitewater, and at home in Kenosha. GB fans seem to think he will be resigned though.
 
To expensive. We would be playing center money for a guard.
 
Pouncey is our center. We are not getting another center for the next 10 years...get over it people. The kid actually did well and he was a rookie.
