does anyone think Shazor can be the missing piece. He was projected in the top three rounds but then went undrafted. Unk why?

Depends on what system Saban plans on using. Shazor sometimes stuggles in man coverage but is pretty good in zone.

Shazor is slow, and awful in coverage.. Strickly as a run stuffing safety he is great but letting him cover WR in the NFL at this point is a little crazy.. Safeties are one of the last positions that teams fill unless they can find studs like Ed Reed and Roy Williams.. Shazor may have a future if he can gain some cover skills, but the fact that no team wasted a pick on him shows he was very overrated before the draft..

I think to many people are to worried about the FS position... how many CB have been moved there with success... Heck even Arturo Freeman did out moving from the SS spot to FS...


FS isn't as tough as a position to field than the CB spots are.

IF there is a concern there... I'm sure Saban will make sure it's addressed before camp.

Errr Freeman is a NATURAL FS. He played behind Marion but was moved to SS when there was an opening. He wasn't a natual SS and it showed. When he finally got playing time back at FS under Bates he played pretty solid.
