What do you all think? I think it's pretty damn accurate. And it appears they list top five needs therefore Chambers critics/haters can calm down on why WR is not up there
It's an ESPN Insider article http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/news/story?id=2773475Cornerback: The Dolphins finished with the No. 4 defense in the league, but only notched eight interceptions. Miami had the third-most sacks in the NFL, but struggled in coverage. The Dolphins have three adequate corners, but should focus on acquiring a shutdown athlete who can match up with the opponent's best receiver and give more flexibility to the overall defensive scheme.
Defensive tackle: The Miami defensive line was very solid in 2006, but the group is aging. The top four defensive tackles are in their 30s, and two will be in their late 30s next season. Three of the four defensive tackles are free agents this offseason, and there is a good chance the Dolphins will need to find at least one big body to shore up the middle of the defense.
Offensive line: Miami moved its linemen around after its bye in Week 8, and the offensive line played better. Damion McIntosh was moved to left tackle after L.J. Shelton couldn't get it done, but the Dolphins still need to improve the pass protection in 2007. McIntosh may test the market as a free agent this offseason, and Miami may not spend a lot to bring him back. Look for Miami to re-sign guard Toniu Fonoti in the offseason and target any possible left tackle prospects in free agency or the 2007 draft.
Quarterback: This is still one of the big questions for Miami in 2007. The top two quarterbacks (Daunte Culpepper and Joey Harrington) combined for 14 touchdowns and 18 interceptions, averaging a 72.6 quarterback rating. Former coach Nick Saban inserted Cleo Lemon late in the season, but he may not have enough talent to grab the starting role. Look for the Dolphins' front office and new head coach to address this crucial position. Kicker: The Dolphins lost seven games by 10 points or fewer last year. Three of those losses were by a field goal or less. The kicking game can determine many close contests, and Miami rarely had the edge in this phase of the game. Veteran kicker Olindo Mare struggled in 2006, missing several crucial field goal attempts. Mare only hit 72 percent of his attempts and a dismal 55 percent over 40 yards. The Dolphins will take a hard look at Mare, as his field goal percentage dropped significantly from previous seasons. If they don't feel good about what Mare has left in the tank, they may add another kicker in 2007.
