the people that know me realize i usually resonate into the calm pasture of serenity and wade into the long weeks of whats known as the twilight zone.......a NFL season. I have spent years in scouting, which does not make me any more of a pro than the next guy............but it does give me insight on how niave people realy are.....seriously.

saban will not remove cullpepper for various reasons
1. he choose him over brees and sending a signal of "joey" gives the media a gun ho reason to rip him and a signal to the team to look for excuses. ( but joey would be an improvement)

2. cullpepper could be a " ringer" and be very good if he were healthy.....but trust me it will take all season....saban doesn't want to win now.... he just wants pep to get used to as much as possible, next year is his statement year......used to the system, coaches, players and gains health. for his drop backs are so weak.........it is games away from stellar

i could get into so much more, but reality in my circle says......two more years...........LB's inthe draft and a te.........yes a te. a blocking TE. it will open up the rb's for options.

You cant be serious about saban doesnt want to win this year are you crazy. and he probabbly doesnt care what the media says about this team he puts in culpepper because he sees more ability than joey almost everyday.

Strange as it is, I don't think I can disagree with you, though I'd rather us get a solid OLman in the draftrather than a blocking TE.

Ok!!

You should give the receipe of what you are drinking or smoking to Saban ,cause he ,DEFINITLY, looks like he want to win NOW. GO DOLPHINS!! :dolphins:

Of course Saban wants to win now. What the original point of the post I think was is that Saban might not expect to win now (and we're talking big picture here, not just a playoff appearance) with the team he has.

Finally a voice ... well a word of reason. I agree ... well put.

I think Saban wants to win, but I think it's not something he will lose sleep over if he doesn't. Daunte needs to remain the starter, he's had three probowl seasons and a near MVP season, he's a quality NFL QB, he just needs time to get comfortable with this team and lose the fear in his head over his knee.

This is an absolutely rediculous statement.

your opinion is well stated, but winning now doesn't mean winning it all.
he asked wayne for five years........it will take seven... you'll see

exactly................move forward. DO YOU EXPECT TO WIN IT ALL NOW......CHECK YOURESLF FOR REALITY.........I FEEL IT TOO.........BUT UNDERSTAND IT IS NOT THIS YEAR..............BUT LETS TRY...........

As much as Saban screws with and hates the media I really don't think he gives a rat's *** what they do or say about him, and there is absolutely no reason or evidence to believe Joey would be an improvement over C-Pep

i tend to agree on needing more pieces, but this team can definately play at a higher level than these first three weeks

I'm glad Saban has a long term plan, but unless that plan involves spending lots of money and high draft picks on offensive linemen, it ain't gonna work.

i won't comment further, but the pieces are not there. it' is two years and two lb's away. if you know saban....he is a blitzing d man with 240lbs guys
