Washington Redskins have hired former KC offensive coordinator Al Saunders

Wow. That's a bit of a surprise. I notice there is no indication of what he'll be doing there. I wonder if this doesn't mean Gibbs will retire, Williams will become HC, and Saunders will be his OC.

Saunders was made an offer to become assistant HC and offensive coordinator by Joe Gibbs.

Its simply a move by Gibbs to improve his offense, I dont recall the exact numbers money wise however like Gregg Williams Saunders is being compensated well to take his name out of the running for the remaining two HC spots.

The article I read said $2 million a year. That's a lot of scratch for a coordinator!
