we all kno the jets are goin to blitz the heck out of us on monday so wat do i think we MUST do very early in the game ?

well besides run the ball, we should run alot of screens kind of like the packers are doin against the vikes right now. those kind of quick throws/plays will help minimize the pass rush a whole lot if we execute properly.

Very true, but our coaches know that (at least I hope they do). I saw something I had not seen from Miami in a long time and that was the TE screen. We threw it twice I think for like eight yards a piece. A very effective play call.

I was thinking the same thing watching Rodgers on that first drive (before the fumble). He was taking very quick 3-...sometimes 2-step drops and the ball was out. We will absolutely have to do the same Monday night.

It's not just screens, it's also quick slants...this is why the Pats have always been able to beat the Ravens....screens and slants will totally negate Ryans attacking blitz scheme.

A screen pass? Those went extinct in MIA around the end of last year

Yesterday, Henne threw a very nice screen to Ricky for a 10 yard gain getting the first down by an inch.

And they had other nice ones that I remember.

With Henne, the screen may be back.. And it should be because all our backs can catch very well out of the backfield. Brown, Williams and Cobbs are all good at catching the ball out of the backfield.

Plus we have smart receivers like Bess, Hartline and Camarillo who can wedge into an opening very quickly to catch screens.

We certainly have enough capable people to run effective screens.

They Dolphins have to capitalize on the one on one match ups the Jets blitzes create. I certainly hope that Bess, Hartline and Cam are numbers 1-3. All are very capable of getting open quickly and creating coverage problems for the Jets secondary.
