On screens, I would deff prefer Ricky. He's a beast, and has great instinct and acceleration.

Because you have to have a deep passing game that scares people in order to make screens successful.
wondering what you think screen passes have to do with deep passes? imo you use a screen to slow down a heavy pass rush and to make aggressive defenses pay

He has good hands as well for catching out of the backfield. We have actually been blessed with two such backs as Brown catches well to. I am actually surprised that we don't use more screens. Maybe our OC is waiting to introduce them as a new wrinkle later in the season? Will be interesting to see.

Certainly. Thing is when you lack the demonstrated threat to go more than 10 yards down the field on a pass, do you think the defense is going to be worried about sending people/stacking the box? I doubt it. Hence they are looking for a short pass, which a screen is.
k good to have your opinion as well. personally i think this whole teams stack the box because of pennington is overrated. i think the blame is more on our wr's than qb. as a receiver you should salivate at the sign of one on one coverage. your getting paid to make teams pay when they single cover you.

We run many different formations now and not just out of the wildcat. This is confusing defenses in the long term of a ball game. Hence, I think if executed correctly and at choice times like today, it works to perfection.
