Im tired of this crap. The Dolphins should not give him anymore than 7 mil a year. Sure, he is proven, but he is unproven with a bum shoulder. In no way is he worried about championships or where his family lives, if that was the case he would be signed with Miami by now. Take your 10 mil, go to NO and have a great time! Build a house, buy a dog, and go home every Sunday unhappy with a loss. Get DC on this team now, before that is too late!!! Dont get me wrong either QB would be an upgrade, but Brees is not worth more than 7 a year. Maybe we passed on him in the draft because of character, who knows! I have a funny feeling we are gonna lose out on both, the vikes will stick to their guns now, and if we dont sign Brees they have all the leverage! Sorry had to vent!
 
Is Culpepper even going to be able to play this year?

how about we trade for Culpepper.....a 4th rounder, plus 2nd rounder next year? idk, i really dont wanna give up draft picks ya know. silly saban gave up a 6th a QB whos never started...
 
Trade for pepper, keep gus (a proven NFL QB) as a backup, draft Chad Jackson and pick up Julian Peterson in FA. Draft a QB to groom in a later round and pick up some more CB and OL help in FA. Then sit back and watch the Fins win the AFC East.
 
i agree brees just wants money we should just trade for DC if he wont go down on the money he wants. Daunte is just as good if not better and is a proven qb. Only big donwside is knee problems but thats his knee not his thorwing arm.
 
I'm not losing faith yet..........and I certainly don't want Daunte Culpepper. We can't get a look at his knee, just a phonecall and a purported 2nd round pick is too rich for my blood.
 
i'm starting to agree w/ you 2. Lets face it pepper is a better qb if they are both 100%

That was more to get rid of feeley and his contract. We saved money on the deal and got rid of a virus that was worth a 6th rounder.:tongue:
 
Why is everyone so concerned with not knowing about Pepper knee yet. Do you really think that Saban will complete the trade without a physical first. He would have to be cleared by the Dolphin doctors before the trade would be consumated
 
Except...

for the knee. Without a good exam of that knee, I'd have Knee Jerk No Way to a deal for Culpepper. Knees can be repaired, but why trade for someone who can't even let the docs examine it. If Brees doesn't sign, and the Vikes don't come off that stand, find someone else - even a Ramsey. At least we can get a physical report on him, I'd imagine.
 
if brees did not want to be a dolphin he would had left already. we just have to wait but i don't think much longer.
 
Culpepper is a punk. why does everyone here like the bad guys. we are gonna turn out to be the next raiders. Culpeper likes to have his hoes on a boat Ricky cant put the bong away for five minutes and almost everyone beats there wife once or twice and daunte's wont be able to play till midway during the season. Whats that gonna get us? you guys are crazy if you want DC over DB
