You can bet that SD will take CC out of the game at home after that win against Buffalo. CC will not be able to do what evolved Sunday. I just want people to start thinking in terms of reality. I am expecting the ussual 2 or 3 drops a game and our offense struggling because they are going up against a good team who needs another win for their division and our defense will let up again.

If Chambers really wants to show he is a true number one, he'll break the double team. Especially one from a team like San Diego, who's best corner is Quentin Jammer...decent at best.

Sucks we dont have a good enough #2 to make them pay for double teaming him.:shakeno:

Well then Randy will have to CATCH SOME passes over the middle instead of laying on the ground hitting it!

if you notice

CC is almost always open regardless of coverage

most the time we just cant get him the ball

besides, doubleing chambers is the best thing that can happen to the running game and other WR's

Ya think ??!!

i'm sure we're not the first to think of that. That's where the other players come in more. McMike, Booker [if playing], R&R. by them doing that, someone has to be open. Biggest hurdle will be is Gus capable of making that quick read to find the open guy. better yet, and hit him in stride?

I think Gus can and will if the O-line decides to block this week

1. SD has a no good secondary anyway...

2. Chambers has one GOOD game (he still dropped four passes, easy ones too), and now he can't be covered? You'll hate on him at least once before the seasons over, because there's a great deal of fairweather going on around here.

I watch a lot of SD games and their secondary is interesting....
Jammer has been playing pretty good
Florence is adequate
Our old friend Jamar Fletcher is their nickle guy
This week they get T. Kiel back which should help them
Their other safety Jue is alright

If they double CC that means they will roll a safety over in his direction. In a three receiver set w/ a TE that means the following.

Chambers- Jammer/Jue
Gilmore- Florence
Welker- Jamar fletcher
Randy- T. Kiel
Ronnie/Ricky- LB

And there is the great mismatch. I would love some more passes to go ronnies way, and i feel very confident in welker getting open on Fletcher...

You're underestimating Brian Gilmore, I hope they do too. He did have a drop last game that kinda hurt, but the guy is fast and normally has good hands. I hope he gets another shot and shines. If CC is doubled he has a chance to make his name known.

Gilmore and E. Jackson have been doing a great job in Special teams all year. I'm glad that we got some more work in for him...

Excellent post. I agree 100%. Ronnie's gotta hold onto the ball when he runs in open field though. ;) Oh damn, imma get flammed now. :goof:
