The Seattle Seahawks and coach Pete Carroll have been collectively fined more than $300,000, according to sources, and will lose two double practices in 2015 as ruled by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for violating no-contact rules that govern NFL teams' offseason practices.

Ignoring NFL rules? Pete Carroll? Naaaaaaaaaaah.

Yeah, they were doing some cheating last year on the way to Super Bowl Championship.

I really wish that Joe Philbin was smart enough to realize that it's worth risking a slap on the wrist in order to gain a competitive edge.

I'm sure that if he gets into a similar situation with the Seahawks, there won't be a lot of complaints after getting their first ever Super Bowl.

He's a good coach and he understands that you need to take risks to be great.

Pete has been cutting corners since his USC days....why would he have left USC for a crappy Seahawk's team back in the day....he knew USC was going to get hammered.

To be fair... that was sort of a technicality due to the timing of the AFL-NFL merger, but absolutely. Gotta take some risks and liberties to be great sometimes.
