If this offense had a seam threat or a Big guy to target in the redzone or down the middle Tannehill would be one dangerous QB. No QB throws accurate 100% of the time you need a big guy that can go up and get it when the accuracy isn't there. If we can upgrade Oline and get a seam threat TE or Big Fast WR we will have 1 scary offense.

Wallace made a YAC TD. Clay has been beasting with YACs, demanded attention yesterday due to his previous performance. Matthews is coming around. That's what we need, guys making plays after the catch, as well as being put in position to make those plays.
I agree with acquiring a vertical target, that is something we lack. I'm a fan of the TEs on the roster, they are coming around in this system. I would not mind drafting Brandon Coleman for a vertical target.

Jimmy Graham would be amazing but i think we will be way out of his range. I do think that we will see what Binns can do and with Gibson coming back we should be in good shape hopefully.

Are you forgetting we have an elite "vertical target" that is being paid $60m right now on the roster? We need a big, physical TE (I don't see us going that route with WR) for red zone situations like Gronkowski. Even though we're getting it done in the end zone, 99% of Tannehill's TD passes are to receivers who are inside the 5, rarely do you actually see someone catch it in the end zone.

I'd like to either get a big TE like Amaro to run in the middle, up the seams, that sort of thing or a big wideout to go up for jump balls like Mike Evans.

Has there been any news on how Keller is recovering? If the surgery was successful, he could be good.

Just added the correct link to his game vs Miami. Nuff said

I know I've blasted some of these guys, but I think that player is on the roster. Egnew/Sims are primed for a breakout next year a la Charles Clay or Reshad Jones. This system seems to develop guys slowly but then they break out like mad (OV). Interesting to see what happens.

Sims has not been a pass catcher before and if Egnew was really going to be a threat, you would see him doing more than catching simple hook routes. Any more complicated or deeper route and he comes up short. When it comes down to it, he doesn't have the speed, agility, hands, and ability to adjust his body to make a catch that even merely average TE's possess in this league. He worked in college because he WAS faster than the defense, and there was reason to think he would get past the dropsies that plagued him based on his history, but he still is lacking.

Asking these guys to turn into seem threat TE's is like hoping Marlon Moore will develop into a big time WR because he is fast. There are other skills needed that aren't really measurable, and I don't think that these guys have it.

one word KELLER

He's a possibility, but there are two variables:
1. He may not want to sign here again. He'll likely be on another prove it contract, and while Charles Clay doesn't fill every role that a starting TE should, he is still going to see a lot of time on the field, which will limit Keller's usage. He could find better opportunities elsewhere.
2. There is no guarantee he comes back well from this injury. Yes, Adrian Peterson came back stronger than ever, and we'll probably find out which lab made that possible in the next 5-10 years. There are still numerous guys who don't, especially from such a severe case.
