If you watch the game Blount actually stepped out of bounds when Smith hit him but the refs missed it.

Which can happen in a real game. Thus highlighting the importance of actually tackling your opponent.

Yeah and he's too busy being cute on twitter all the time. He needs to be working his *** off on the jugs machine and doing some tackling drills.
 
Told you all in the "best cb tandem" thread the guy is average at best and if Jimmy Wilson develops well the Dolphins will trade Smith.
 
Yeah everybody is basing this off one missed tackles. I don't see the Jets complaining and crying every play about Antonio Cromartie whos tackling is almost as bad... What was their defense BTW?

As long as hes not a crowd favorite they do.. Nobody complains and cry bout Vontae Davis missing a tackle on Blount yesterday or getting burnt by Julio Jones, but let Sean Smith make 1 bad play.. Hes on the trading block..

Pretty much!! Davis is good for getting burnt atleast once a game.

I also find it funny how people complain about Smith dropping picks. I am sorry, but if the main gripe on a CB is that he drops INT'S then that is a dang good cover CB.

Much rather that then Davis getting an INT then getting beat for a long TD and allowing couple passes behind him needing safety help
 
first off vontae rarely gets safety help...and for you guys that have a dvr pause that sucker after the snap repeatedly when vontaes in press man on the outside and see just how good the positioning he's in as he runs down the field...kids really damn good...inconsistent but when he's on he's money...

sean smith flat out had no interest in contact with legarret blount on that play...none...but sean smith does that kinda stuff all the time...i've just grown to accept it...he's not a physical player...never will be...and he'll find ways many times to not make contact...but look like he's busy
 
lol come on... lets just make a Sean Smith hate club!! What happends when he get a pic 6 and 7 ints this season? you will accept his contact free style lol.. but i noticed last season... THE real season!!! that he did tackle ok. and tried. He doesnt try vs Beast RB in pre and you guys want a rook over him. COME ON
