Sean Salisbury on 790 says...

There is a vast difference between developing quarterbacks, which Chow is good at, and running a whole football team.

Chow is not head coach material.

you dont know that and i dont know that yet plus you have to start somewhere you just dont start at the top you work your way up there.

I'm surprised that he isn't higher up the list for Arizona with Leinart at QB over there. He could do wonders with that receiving corps and offense.

and we all know every black man will get overlooked at quaterback for a white man as theres no way they can pass:rolleyes:

Salisbury implied that his race is the reason he isn't getting more looks, in fact, he outright claimed it to be the case. I'm not a big believer in the race card principle at the pro-football level, because I understand that football is a business based on success, and teams just don't turn away people they believe will be successful.

That said, it does appear Chow has been passed over for this position in the past, and I am wondering why. The resume does look excellent. I am interested in gathering input from fellow Fins fans as to why he may or may not make a good candidate.

Well bringing him in will satisfy that stupid rule about having to interview one minority candidate right? I'm all for promoting diversity but to have a rule that sometimes will force a token interview is not the best way to do it. Oh well.

Sean Salisbury is just saying that because he's a USC homer and wants to see Chow as a head coach.

Chow would be a terrible choice. He's a coordinator. He's not head coach material.

Anything Salisbury says we should do, we should do the EXACT opposite.

You mean like Mangini and Sean Peyton?

I think the face of this frachise needs to be changed, and a brilliant coordinator like Chow who is more hands on and x and o guy, this is what we need to start looking at. Someone who will want the job through thick and thin and actually make an offense go.
