The sad thing is: we could of had both. Coaches could not figure out that if you leave Smith in man coverage, he does pretty well. Zone, not so well.
I did
He never impressed me when he was with the Phins. Everyone kept saying how Smith and Vontae Davis were the next great duo......but they weren't even close. Glad Smith is gone.

I guess everyone wants to forget Sean's weekly boner play, where right on schedule his brain would leave his head while his body committed some stupid infraction or poor play, ending up big for the other team. Sometimes even more than once in a game.
Addition by subtraction; we're way better off without him.
As far as the occasional good play, remember: even Ted Ginn (6 TDs in 6 seasons) had his good plays. Twice.
