really i had a feeling this kid was going to be good but man this kid is awesome some of the things he is doing is amazing it's only preseason and already he is all over sportscenter. this kid is a freak of nature he might be the best cb hands down in the draft what a steal what a GREAT PICK!!!:callme::up:
 
sorry i spelled his name wrong thats what happens when you have about 2 six packs and counting it's laborday weekend!!!!!!!!
 
I'm definately in the minority here but I think Smith is being overhyped by phins fans so far. YES he has made some great plays, and YES he is capable of making the highlight int's moreso than any DB we have on the roster but he also got pretty much abused in that TB game. Do I think Smith is going to be a great CB for us..... Yes, but I think the expectations are too high for him RIGHT NOW. When he starts getting beat in regular season games everyone is going to panic, and some will probably even label him a bust. Right now I see Smith as a very raw and rare talent who will get beat probably mostly by shorter timing routes where the ball is zipped in there but if you float a ball in this guys direction he's probably going to come down with it. Pretty much like Antonio Cromartie, Smith is bigger though but not quite as fast.

every corner is going to get beat time to time but for the most part i think smith is going to make more plays than mistakes yes he is a rookie and he will make mistakes but the kid has the tools to be one of the best in the game...

He might be eventually, but I still think nearly everyone here thinks he's already better than he really is. If you just read all these posts you'd think that Smith should end up with 10+ int's this season or for QB's to completely avoid throwing in his direction.

only time will tell but in my opinion he was the best cb in this draft i think he might even be better than vontae you go look at the saints forums and they all wish they would have gotten smith instead of m.jenkins who alot had as the best cb in this draft hands down......

Yea, I'm not saying he isn't good. He could be the best CB in this years draft though and still not be as good as everyone is making him out to be. I think Smith will be solid for us this year, he will make some Great plays, and get beat (probably badly at times) on others. I don't expect him to dominate though like some of you seem to think he will.
 
there are college grads on this board who've never used the word 'than' in a sentence.
