Lately, Sean Smith has been getting a lot of visibility (Swimming with Dolphins, Baseball game pitch, etc..)

Not sure if anyone noticed but he is getting the spotlight over R. Bush, Tannehill, etc.. (at least for now)

For someone who can't hold on to INT and got torched a lot by WR last year, I'm surprised he is getting that much exposure.

Discuss your choices, who should be the face of the Franchise???

He swam with Dolphins and threw a pitch... I think Vontae did for another game. It's really no big deal, he is not the face of our franchise

He didn't even show up today in Phins gear. Eff him. All the other players were sporting some kind of Phins gear. He is nowhere near the face of the franchise.

I don't know if there's any concerted effort involved here but I'm with you in that I wonder why he's getting so much attention. I actually like him as a player, or rather I think he's been decent, maybe even better than Vontae just because he's been more consistent and more consistently on the field, though obviously Vontae still has the much higher ceiling...but why is he the one being talked about and featured so much? I think it's Vontae that could break out under Coyle and finally be the player we know he can be.

Vontae is way better! I think the dolphins fan base would love to have tannehill be the face of the franchise though that could be several years from now.

Maybe they are trying to 'coach' him up and build his confidence before switching horses.

I expect the other guy to beat him out to start opposite Vontae.

It seemed to me that whenever it was 3rd down & the opposition needed a first down they threw at Sean and most of the time they got the 1st down.
It didn't seem to matter how good his body position was, even if the ball hit him he didn't catch it.

HECK NO! Long, Wake, or Bush in my opinion and in time it will be Tannehill !!!

Kinda ... nothing says 7-9, like Sean Smith's play!! He's the poster-boy face of mediocrity.

Don't give him an award for that ... he'd drop it!!

Anywho ... don't take this too serious, if someone is crazy enough to say this, I'm crazy enough to joke about it. Camp is opening ... I'm pumped!!

Jake Long or Cam Wake....you actually have to make plays to be in that type of conversation and Sean Smith rarely does that.

Dan Carpenter and Brandon Fields At the end of the day tony sparano oh wait never mind...

Coach Shula is still the face of this franchise IMHO...
