OK so after watching and reading about last nights game i came to realize that Sean Smith was jamming his receivers just close in their face which lead him having a good night.

Now looking back Vontae was like 10+ yards off his man..uh WHY...he is strong and obviously from his bonehead moments like to be physical and use his hands but i thought with his strength he would be use close. His porr moment may have had somethign to do with it but he is so strong in that first 5 yards he could get TO off route IMO

So whats the deal why do we press with simth and play soft with davis...

Is it scheme?
Is it because they dont trust Vontae to press yet?
Or is he just weak at press coverage?

BTW i think our secondary looked very good...I think by week one they will be stout and ready for our pass happy season.

I think it was the scheme he was playing the left side and when Will allen was in he was like 10 yards off most of the time to i also believe that vontae should be in bump in run but maybe the coachs think he might be to physcial

That may be the case.....but he is so damn strong and i think could dominate if he presses cause if he can frustrate Wr's for just 1 extra second our pressure will force a throw away sack or a mistake.

If it is scheme i would like to see Smith off and Davis press....though i think when we face the TO Moss Johnson and the lot Smith will be where ever they are regardless of side.

Part of Bill Parcells "D" is he lets his CB's play Bump and run or off and he let's them play whatever they more comfortable doing.

He just wants them to master whatever way they play.
It way have been scheme but Bill give his CB's more freedom to play the way they want then most.

Will and Goody talked about that last year, and so have a'lot of other corners that have played for Bill in the past.

Guess you are another of those who thinks he is a bust already huh?

No....he obviously thinks the 16th overall pick in the draft needs 7 more years to come to that conclusion...

If he doesn't make the roster will you be making any appearances in the "Jason Allen Memorial Thread"? :rimshot:

Sorry but that isn;t a decision Parcells makes on this team. TS makes such decisions not Parcells.

He was talking about Vontae being a bust, because people are already starting that silly talk up.

And like him or not, Jason Allen played well last night. Don't know if he makes the team, but he didn't hurt himself.

If you think the team isn't dripping with Bill's influence then :crazy::crazy:.

Two of our own players said " He doesn't care if you play 10 yards off the ball or bump, just master what ever way you play "

And many of his old teams CB's have said the same thing.:thanks:
