Sean Smith, Utah, D-back, 2nd rounder?

If he is there in the 2nd round i would def grab him. He is athletic and i like the utah players a lot. He is a big strong DB which we need

I'm trying to get the right read on Sean Smith. Is he a CB or a S? I've seen him listed at both on different draft sites.

what i have read on him he started at fs then moved to cb then back to fs projected to be a fs in nfl

sorry was thinking of nic harris not sean smith

Would look to be a solid FS in the NFL. But, would you use a high pick on a FS? I would tend to think Parcells would go CB, LB or maybe even DT or WR before picking a FS. And he is definitely too slow to be a corner in the NFL at 4.5. I def like the guy though. And we do need a FS.

I'd take him in the 1st. One of my favorite players in the draft.

depends on his 40 time. He runs well, he'll shoot up the boards being a tall CB, he runs slow, he'll be in between the 2nd and 4th (runs slow, he'll be a safety who do fall)

Do we really want to draft another guy who we are not sure if he is going to be a Safety or a CB . . . I'm not feeling that after the problems we have had with Allen.

Allen's problem is not so much his physical ability as it is that he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Smith is a FS in the NFL almost certainly. There are not very many 6-3 corners at the next level. I have seen him play a couple of games in person. Smith is huge without a doubt but I would be surprised if he played at his listed 215. I would think he was closer to 205 and he is plenty fast. I don't think anyone should think for a minute that he can come right in and start right away. I think he is a year away at least before he could be a starting level FS.
