I know this guy is a rookie and still is learning the position so don't jump all over me but....

Is it me or does anyone else see the possibility of this guy lining up as a WR on certain plays down the road.

He looks like he has all the physical tools, I know I'd try him in practice!

no, if he was struggling at CB id say go for it, if he was looking like a bust id say go for it. but he isnt. how many true lockdown corners are there in the NFL? not as many as there are great WR's. This guy has all the skills to be a lockdown corner with Davis for the next 10 years. we are set at that position, why change it? i doubt BP would approve, allow, or suggest this, if they want a WR its called trading for a true #1.

I thought this thread would say, "Is Sean Smith the next elite shut-down corner?" If it were to say that I'd say absolutely. But it doesn't so I won't respond.

sean smith in my madden season has 14 ints in 15 weeks.. has the most votes for defensive rookie of the year and defensive player of the year. its crazy..how this translates to the real thing we will have to wait n see

pretty dumb post.. I would put ginn into the wildcat more and send him in motion sometimes instead of ricky..

apparently none of you understand the positions and skill sets. Why do you think D Sanders was able to do the same.

I get a reply, about not replying and a dumb post remark. You guys are quiet the experts!
Probably a bunch of Ginn fans!

I didn't say move him to WR, I said run him with the offense on certain plays.

not yet, probably not even this season, but soon enough, if our offense doesn't improve on the passing game it's a good way to take advantage of the talent we have with sean Smith, at least get it to him in the endzone, look at him when he's on defense, you can't throw it to him in the endzone or its an int, buffalo tried it last week and got lucky smith dropped it

Of course, down the road.....I really think he can be a weapon in the red zone.... I bet he catches that pass that Ginn dropped Vs Iny

i really dont want it. who knows if he will be used that but there is no reason, we have a speedy wr, a great hand WR, a combination wr, hartline who is all around, and turner who is huge. do we really need to add a cornerback to that list? he looks great so far lets just let him worry about and develop in one position.

i think Dan Carpenter played WR in pee-wee football, maybe they should try him out?

I'd rate this idea up with "let's play Ted Ginn at cornerback".
