Smith has the play making ability and really fluid hips for such a big guy. But he really looks soft as a run stopper and his jams are not that effective. Now I'm not trying to bash on Mr. Smith because I see some pro bowls in his and his counterpart's futures. I just would like to see him use that big frame to disrupt opposing offenses timing with a solid jam. Keep it up kid

Mr. Smith has been getting beat a lot lately. He is a rookie though!

I noticed he gives the WR a lot of cushion. Looks like he is afraid of getting beat deep. Unfortunately, that leads to a lot of completions against him in coverage.

He's really soft, which is a staple of this defense. Hopefully his coverage improves.

Madison and Surtain were never hitters so I'm not worried about that. However, they were great cover corners and could jam receivers.

he got beat by one of the elite WR's of the league who has been playing for a long long time, and has a good QB to support it.
We'll have a great pair of CB's in a few years though.

He did have one good stop near the end of the game out in the flats, but I agree that he does not appear to be a big hitter. If he is a shutdown corner in the future, that is fine with me though.
