yes we are beating ourselves up this year with poor play calling in the wrong time of the game (2nd half this game and the drive against the colts)....we aren't getting every call and we are making to many little mistakes at the wrong times but the season is far from over. I remember when it was week 7 last year and everyone thought we couldn't bounce back.

We had games similar to this year, close games that we couldn't close out.....games where we turned the ball over and lost.....

BUT...just remember, I think this was the standings last year around this time

BUF-5-1
Pats-4-2
NYJ-3-3
MIA-2-4

so cheer up....

edit-I'm not saying cheer up about being in last place, I'm just saying don't feel we don't have a chance because we still are 2-0 in the division and have shown we can compete with the best teams from both the AFC/NFC......

Agreed.

We have to sweep the pats for anything to happen. Well not HAVE to but realistically we do.

This streach of 3 games is really the last MAJOR hurdle. After the Pats game, things get a bit easier for the fins until the Pittsburgh game. With Leon Washington getting hurt yesterday, the Jets next week will be weaker than than when we faced them last time. As for the Pats, we'll see in a few weeks.

We have 2 really important division games coming up. If we can win both and even this thing at 4-4, we will be undefeated in the AFC East, and right back in the thick of things. As bad as I was feeling last night and still now, I think the opportunity is there for this team. Now the focus must turn to beating the JETS!

Well positive thinking can't hurt.

But if you were to take this team and put another uniform on them like raiders Seahawks Jags tampa would you still think they have a shot at ending up in the playoffs.....

PLAYOFFS ????

This team is several players away from being real contenders. And we shouldn't be to impatient with a second year rebuilding team. Should be grateful for their over achievement and not create unrealistic expectations.

Folks we need WR's Safety, MLB, LBs soon to be NT, JT retiring soon and the ricky ronnie tandum not lasting forever, so we'll need to build with a sense of conventionality..........

Now if this is the statis in 2011.......Then Freakout

I agree that it's not over and if we can get these 2 HUGE road divisional games(Jets-NE) then we get TB and could be 5-4.

call me crazy but I think our team is talented enough to make the playoffs, and I will even say I think we will with 10-6 or 11-5........ even with a couple players not performing to what we hoped......no team we have played was just flat out better than us, like we had no chance..obviously you are what your record is but performance wise we have made plays but we just lack focus at times and execution....we have lost on mistakes like turnovers, penalties, missed tackles, drops...not just teams dominating us...If we don't make playoffs I won't disappointed and will come back and say I was wrong but I am not giving up on this team and I think some players willl step up and make an impact late like JT, Wake and some of our back ups....

Good post. I like this team, but the weak safety and WR play scares me. Plus, the amount of injuries we have so far is troubling. We lost our #1 QB, #1 CB, and Jack of All Trades Patrick Cobbs for the season in the span of six weeks.

Yes, MUCH weaker, however you have to KNOW tht Rex will have something different up his sleeve for the wildcat. His pride as a defensive mind won't allow the same outcome to take place.

Last year was Last year...Just look at Tennessee and Carolina their seasons last year seem so long ago now.
